Nays: None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />Kenneth Quern Kenneth Quern, maintenance department, was present to <br />Maintenance make regular report to the council. <br />Department Reports <br />Ruggles Street Inasmuch as petition to vacate the Ruggles Street Walk- <br />Walkways way has been denied, Attorney for the petitioners, <br /> Jerome Beardsley eras present to request immediate action <br /> to stop vehicular traffic from going through walkway at <br /> Ruggles from Pascal to Holton. He further requested <br /> that walkway not be fenced, blacktopped or paved. He <br /> stated that tension would be considerably lessened if <br /> vehicular traffic were stopped. <br /> Black moved, Strandquist seconded that village attorney <br /> be authorized to draft proposed ordinance prohibiting <br /> vehicular traffic on public walkways of Village and to <br /> incorporate in ordinance that council may, by resolution, <br /> regulate uses of each walkway to the best interests of <br /> the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Stone moved that village engineer be instructed to make <br />recommendation at the next council meeting as to hoW to <br />properly construct a sign at each end of the walkway <br />advising public that vehicular traffic (including <br />bicycles and motorcycles) is prohibited. Motion seconded <br />by Nilsen and duly carried. <br />West Falcon Heights Pete Mc Gough, representing the West Falcon Heights Play- <br />Playground Assn.- ground Association stated that this association stated <br /> that this association will contribute the labor and <br />Sid~nralk from furnish the material necessary to put in a sidewalk on <br />Autumn to Playground Roselawn Avenue from Autumn to the playground area. <br />on Roselawns Warkentien moved, seconded by Stone that the Village <br /> Engineer be authorized to stake the area for above-menu <br /> Toned sidewalk so that the Playground Association may <br /> proceed with putting in a tiro-foot wide bituminous side- <br /> walk~ Ayess A11. Nays None. Motion was carried. <br />• <br /> McGough stated that the Playground Association does not <br /> expect the Village of Falcon Heights to maintain this <br /> sidewalk during the winter months. <br />Possible Wading <br />Pools McGough advised that requests for a trading pool prompt <br />
