Nays: None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />Kenneth Quern Kenneth Quern, maintenance department, was present to <br />Maintenance make regular report to the council. <br />Department Reports <br />Ruggles Street Inasmuch as petition to vacate the Ruggles Street Walk- <br />Walkways way has been denied, Attorney for the petitioners, <br /> Jerome Beardsley eras present to request immediate action <br /> to stop vehicular traffic from going through walkway at <br /> Ruggles from Pascal to Holton. He further requested <br /> that walkway not be fenced, blacktopped or paved. He <br /> stated that tension would be considerably lessened if <br /> vehicular traffic were stopped. <br /> Black moved, Strandquist seconded that village attorney <br /> be authorized to draft proposed ordinance prohibiting <br /> vehicular traffic on public walkways of Village and to <br /> incorporate in ordinance that council may, by resolution, <br /> regulate uses of each walkway to the best interests of <br /> the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Stone moved that village engineer be instructed to make <br />recommendation at the next council meeting as to hoW to <br />properly construct a sign at each end of the walkway <br />advising public that vehicular traffic (including <br />bicycles and motorcycles) is prohibited.
