Hermes - State Letter dated August 20 addressed to Council from. N. L. <br />Fair Car Wash Traffic Hermes of State Fair Car Wash enclosed proposals and <br />Control Problem: plot plan. After review, Engineer Lemberg stated some <br />recommended changes would be necessary at the time of <br />construction. Stone moved, seconded by Black that the <br />plot plan of the Phillips Petrol®um Company, No. D~TCT Adp1s. <br />120 under date of August 12, 1966, submitted by T1. L, <br />Hermes for changes in the operation of the State Fair Car <br />Wash premises be approved. Ayes: All. Nays: None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />Investments Stone moved, seconded by Strandquist that the Village <br />Treasurer be authorized to invest :2,825.10 in U, S. <br />Treasury Bills from the Z'Vater.'rlain Improvement Fund 1960- <br />No. 1 to mature August 31, 1967 with yield of 5.75%. Ayes: <br />A11. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Gasoline Filling Having met the requirements, it was moved by Black, <br />S tation License - seconded by Stone that Gulf Oil Station at 1670 North <br />Gulf Oil Station: Snelling Avenue (formerly Cities Service Oil Station) <br />be issued license to operate Gasoline Filling Station. <br />Ayes: All. Nays: None. Iaotion was carried, <br />Falcon Heights Letter of August 17 in answer to Clerk's letter of <br />Congregational Church August 15 from Ray Hardy, Chairman of the Property <br />Land Reclamations Committee of Falcon Heights Congregational Church <br />stated in part that it is their wish to develop lots <br />along Holton Avenue for parking facilities, extending <br />the present parking area, Stone moved that conditional <br />use permit application form be sent to Mr. Hardy along <br />with Ordinance No. 61~ and advise he should proceed <br />accordingly, Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion was <br />carried. <br />Variance -William AY~otion was made by Black, seconded by Stone that the <br />Helms - 1789 Asbury: application for variance submitted by V~lilliam Helms <br />for construction of building to within two feet of <br />the property line at 1789 Asbury be referred to the <br />Planning Commission for its review and recommendation. <br />Ayess All. Idayss None. Motion was carried, <br />Plumber authorized Having met the requirements of Ordinance No. 76, it <br />to obtain permits to was moved by Stone, seconded by Nilsen that the <br />work in Village: Breitner and Hyser Company at 354. Grand Avenue South <br />Minneapolis be authorized to obtain permits to do <br />plumbing work in the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Ayes: All. Nays: None. ~~Iotion was carried. <br />Polling Places Strandquist moved that for the Primary Election to <br />Designateds be held on September 13, 1966, the General Election <br />to be held on November 8, 1966, and the Village El~:ction <br />to be held on December 6, 1966 the following locations <br />be designated. as the official polling places: <br />Precincts No. 1 and No. 2 Village Hall <br />16l~t~ West Larpenteur Avenue <br />Precinct No. 3 Falcon Heights Elementary School <br />1393 GardenrrAvenQue <br />Precinct No. ~ Experimentale~ta)u2100(Larvnenteu~ <br />
