2433 <br />2. Said application for a conditional use of the <br />premises located at 1875 ~7est Larpenteur Avenue is hereby <br />granted, subject to the following terms and conditions <br />(a) Said premises may be operated as a boarding <br />house for not more than six (6) persons, and <br />(b) Said rooming house shall be approved by the <br />University of Minnesota Student Housing Bureau, and <br />(c) The Fire Department ~' the Village of Falcon <br />Heights shall make regular inspection of said <br />premises during the coming years. <br />The foregoing motion was seconded by Stone and upon a note <br />being taken, the following voted for same: Strandquist, <br />Stone, Black and tYarkentien and the following voted against <br />same: None. ~ihereupon said resolution was duly passed and <br />adopted this 31st day of August 1966. <br />Request for Black introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />Variance -Huber adoption. <br />Sign Company - <br />Weber~s Cottage V~iHEREAS, Huber Sign Company has made application on <br />Inn - 1708 North behalf of Weber's Cottage Inn for a variance, as more <br />Snelling Drive: particularly described in said application, from the <br />provisions of Ordinance 64, Section 14.1 (!~) for con- <br />struction of a sign to be located at 1708 North Snelling <br />Avenue, Weber's Cottage Inn, and <br />1VHEREAS, said request for the above variance has been <br />referred to the planning Commission for a study concerning <br />the effect of the proposed variance upon the Comprehensive <br />Plan and upon the character and development of the neigh- <br />borhood, and <br />~VHEREAiS, the Planning Commission has recommended to <br />the Village Council that said variance be granted, subject to <br />certain conditions and .restrictions, <br />NO"~f, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE.Ds <br />1. It is hereby found and determined that the special <br />conditions applying to the property located at 1708 North <br />Snelling Avenue are peculiar to said property and ¢~o not <br />apply generally to other land or structures in the district <br />in which said land is located, and that the granting of the <br />application is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment <br />of a substantial property right of the applicant and that the <br />granting of the proposed variance will not impair an adequate <br />supply of light and air to adjacent proper, unreasonably <br />increase the congestion in the public streets, increase the <br />danger of fire and danger of the public safety, unreasonably <br />diminish or impair established property values in the surr- <br />ounding area, or in any other way impair health, safety, <br />comfort, morals or in any other respect be contrary to the <br />intent of this Ordinance and the Comprehensive Flan. <br />2.
