2? ~1~1~ <br />Bertossi: I question whether the coun-~y cannot take care of this. <br />Nilsens The county provided the storm sewer on Larpenteur Avenue, <br /> but this project they will not handle. .. . <br /> There being no further discussion, Nilsen moved that <br /> the follo~ring resolution be adopted: <br />Resolution Adopting WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as <br />Assessment for required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed <br />Larpenteur-Albert upon all objections to the proposed assessment for the <br />Storm Seger improvement of Larpenteur and Albert Streets as more <br />Improvement 66-1) particularly described in the notice of hearing on said <br /> assessment, and has amended such proposed assessment as <br /> it deems just <br /> N09P, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID by the Village Council <br /> of Falcon Heights, Minnesota as._fol.lows: <br /> 1. The proposed assessment roll is hereby amended, <br /> and the rate of assessment is determined to be .003 dollars <br /> (0.3 cents) per square foot for every parcel of land within <br /> said assessment district. <br />~2. Such proposed assessment, as amended, which is 'made <br />a part of these minutes by reference, is hereby accepted <br />and shall constitute the special assessment against the <br />lands named therein,, and each tract of land therein <br />included is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed <br />improvement iri the amount of the assessment levied against <br />it. <br />3. Such assessment shall be payable in two equal <br />consecutive, annual installments. To the first instal- <br />ment there shall be added interest at the rate of 6~ per <br />annum on the entire assessment, from the date of this <br />resolution until December 31, 1967. To each subsequent <br />installment when due shall be added interest for one year <br />on~all unpaid installments. The first of said installments <br />shall be payable with general taxes for the year 1967, <br />collectible with such taxes during the year 1967. <br />4. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any <br />time prior to certification of the assessment roll to the <br />bounty Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such <br />m property, with interest accrued to the date of payment, <br />to the Village Treasurer, except that no interest shall. <br />be,cha~geti if the entire assessment is paid within 30 <br />days from the adoption of this resolution. <br />5. The Clerk is directed to transmit a certified <br />duplicate. of this assessment to the County Auditor to <br />be extended on the proper tax lists of the County, and <br />such assessment shall be collected and paid over in the <br />same manner as other municipal taxes.
