273 <br />1 <br />Night Time It was decided that a meeting be scheduled with representa- <br />Patrolman: fives of Ramsey County Sheriff Department and. also Village <br />of Lauderdale for the purpose of discussing possible <br />arrangements for night time patrol of Lauderdale and <br />Falcon Heights by the Ramsey County Deputy Sheriffs. <br />Meeting. is scheduled for 7:30 P.M. i.n the Falcon Heights <br />Village Hall on November 22. <br />Skating Instructors Black has communicated with Mutual Service Insurance <br />Insurances _ Compauly regarding insurance for sleeting instructors who <br />. will be retained by the Village but will not be employees <br />of the Village. Mutual Service advised that present policy <br />provides the protection as far as village is concerned, but <br />policy will not include these instructors as tinsureds~. <br />It is suggestion of the insurance company that vil.lage~ <br />representative discuss this with the instructors and they <br />be requested to contact their own insurance agent for the <br />purpose of having a 'business pursuit' endorsement plated <br />on their own homeownerst insurance policy. St was suggested <br />that the village be provided with copy of such endorsement. <br />1~Tarming House <br />Falcon Heights <br />School Qrounds: <br />Inasmuch as the roof of the warming house on the Falaon <br />Heights Elementary School playgrounds has been damaged, <br />council deemed it advisable to instruct the maintenance <br />department to purchase materials and make the necessary <br />repairs. <br />Compensation of Stone reported that he contacted Fire Chief Helbig <br />Volunteer Firemen regarding compensation for volunteer firemen vrhen employed <br />for 2!~ hour shifts: to fill in for vacationing or ill regular firemen, which <br />salary amount was provided far in motion adopted at special <br />council meeting of October 22. Fire Chief stated it was <br />his belief no one in the Volunteer Fire Department would <br />n work. such shift for that amount of compensation. This for <br />the purpose of stating reason for rescinding said motion <br />at council meeting on October 29, 1966. <br />1 <br />University of Engineer Lemberg advised he had attended meeting earlier <br />Minnesota -Plans for this evening regarding University of Mirmesota Transportation <br />Transportation, Circulation and Parking. He stated that University has <br />Circulation, and hired a professional planner to coordinate inter-campus <br />Parking' and perimeter parking and traffic plans. Said meeting was <br /> ~brainstormingt session regarding problems_of access routes, <br /> parking space etc. for students within the area of the <br /> west bank, main campus and farm campus, and some means <br /> of fast transportation between campuses. <br />Fairview Avenue Therewas discussion at this meeting of extending Fairview <br />Eactension; Avenue. Nilsen moved, seconded by Strandquist that <br />~ <br /> Lemberg be <br />authoriZed by the Village Council to keep in <br /> touch with and attend. all the. necessary meetings called <br /> regarding this study of Transportation, Circulation, and <br /> Parking.t Ayes: All.. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Election Judges <br />Appointed . for <br />Annual Village <br />Elections <br />Warkentien moved, seconded by Nilsen that the following <br />be appointed election fudges for the Annual Village Election <br />to be held on December 6, 1966. Polling places will be open <br />from 12s00 N to 8:00 P,M. Motion was carried. <br />
