2517 <br />REGULAR lU~ETING OF FEBRUARY 23, 1967 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7x00 P.M. with the follo:ing'members <br />present: Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen 1hTarkentien, Stone and <br />Hlack. .Also present were Treasurer Olsen, Attorney Kyle, and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Minutes:' Stone moved, saconded~by Strandquist that the minutes of <br />. the meeting of February 9, 1967 be approved as corrected. <br />Ayes: A11. Nays: None. A~otion was carried. <br />Police Commissioner Police Commission®r Donald Arndt stated that the Rams®y <br />fteport:_ County Sheriff's Department,,, is interested in purchasing <br />the Village's radio monitor. Warkentien moved, seconded <br />by Strandquist that the radio monitor be transferred, as <br />the other police department equipment was, and the cost <br />price be credited by Ramsey County to the Village of <br />Falcon Heights account. Ayes: A11. Nays.: None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />Maintenande Dept. Ken Quarn, maintenance department, made report to the <br />Reports council of his activities. It is noted that there are <br />still many trees that need care because of damage during <br />storm. Councilmen agreed it was advisable to keep the <br />skating rinks open through next week-end or through <br />March 3, 1967. - <br />Forced Fain <br />Idaho-Snelling <br />Ponding Area: <br />Klatt Addition No. 2: <br />Correspondence: <br />Nilsen moved, seconded by Stone that the engineer prepare <br />report with regard to installation of forced main at the <br />ponding area at Idaho and Snelling Avenues. Said report <br />shall include estimated cost. Motion eras carried. <br />Roy P. K1att submitted petition for improvement of Sheldon <br />Street in the Village of Falcon Heights. Moved by ~farken- <br />tien, seconded by Stone that petition be referred to <br />attorney for checking and report. Ayes: All. Nays: <br />None. Motion was carried. <br />D.P. Shannon. Letter dated February 1.li., 1967 from Donald P. Shannon <br />Cleveland Avenue at _recommended that left-turn lanes and left-turn signa3.s <br />Larpenteur Avenue at the intersection of ~®st Larpenteur and North Cleveland <br />Signals: be installed. Clerk was instructed to advise Mr. Shannon <br />that inasmuch as both Avenues are County roads this matter <br />has been referred to the Ramsey County Engineer. <br />Transfer of Funds: Stone introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />BE TT RESOLVED by the Village Council of Falcon Heights <br />that pursuant to the budget adopted for the year 1966_, the <br />actions of the Village Treasurer in transferring X6,000 from <br />the Sewer Rental Fund to the General Fund during .the <br />calendar year 1966 is hereby ratified and confirmed. <br />Motion was duly seconded. by Strandquist and upon a vote <br />being taken, resolution was adopted unanimously. <br />
