2556 1. Such plans and specifications, which are made a part hereof by reference, are hereby approved. 2. The Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an advertisement for bids. upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. At least ten days shall elapse between the dates of publication and the date specified for the opening of bids on said improvement. Advertisement shall=. specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the clerk until 10:00 A.M. on June $1, 1967 at which time they will be publicly opened ,in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall, by the Clerk and the Engineer, wi11 then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Council at 8:00 P.M. on June 22, 1967 in the council chambers. Advertisement sha11 state that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashiers check, bid bond or certified check payable to the clerk for five par cant of the amount of such bid. Motion was duly seconded by Warkentien and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor of sames Nilsen, Strandquist~ Warkentien and Black and the following voted against sames None. Whereupon motion was declared passed and adopted. Oil Spilled Lemberg advised that at tk~.e time of seal coating of in Alleys village streets, the. contractor will make necessary repairs to the alley behind 11~.l~b West Larpenteur Ave. and Crown Oil Company will pay for costs. N.E. Area Storm Lemberg stated there are a few spots that are in need Sewer Improvement of repair as a result of construction of the N. E. Area 1965 -,Repairs: Storm Sewer Improvement 1965 Project. Strandquist moved that. the Village Engineer be authorized to engage and negotiate with proper firm to pick up the sod and fill and repair the boulevax~is at 1867 Simpson and 1796 Holton, which need repair. Motion was seconded by Nilsen. Ayess All. Nays; None• Motion was carried. Flasher Signal Lemberg stated that poles holding flasher signals at at Crosswalks crosswalk between Arona and Snelling on Larpenteur Avenue will have to b® removed. Warkentien moved that Village Engineer be instructed to arrange for posting signs on both sides of Larpenteur Avenue where flasher is presently located, such signs to read Crossing Only at Corners Seconded by Strandquist. Ayes: A11. Nayss None. Motion was carried. Larpenteur Manor Lemberg. was instructed to communicate with A. L. Rubinger Apartments: of Larpenteur Manor Apartments to advise that building permit may not be obtained for building apartments until such time as final plans and specifications have been approved by the Village Council. This action was prompted by the fact that engineer has received inquiries from various builders who appear to be making up bids for construction of the apartment buildings.
