L.'Hindermann has advised he finds it necessary to <br />Resigns from resign. from the Village of Falcon Heights Planning <br />Planning Comm- Commission inasmuch as he is leaving the village. <br />fission: Mayor Nilsen moved, seconded by Black and duly <br />carried, that W. L. Hindermann's resignation be <br />regretfully accepted. The Council recognizes his <br />work as street commissioner and planning commission <br />member and is truly appreciative of his services <br />over the years. <br />Hearing -Supplemental Strandquist introduced the following resolution and moved <br />Assessments Continued its adoption: <br />to August 21~, 1967 - <br />Falcon Heights WHER,F~S, a public hearing was held on May 11, 1967 and <br />Congregational considered Supplemental Assessments against the Falcon <br />Churchs Heights Congregational Church for certain parcels of property, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, s_ai:d public hearing was continued until August <br />10, 1967, and <br />WHEREAS, persons desiring to be heard have requested <br />that said public hearing be continued to August 2l~, 1967, <br />NOWT THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />Falcon Heights that said public.. hearing is hereby continued <br />anti]. 8:00 P.M. August 2l~, 1967. <br />Motion for foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Black <br />and upon a vote being taken thereon, resolution was <br />unanimously adop"ted. <br />Engineers Report Engineer Lemberg advised that State Highway Department <br />recommends that full crossing over of Snelling Avenue from <br />Ruggles going west, be eliminated. <br />Snelling Avenue Lemberg recommends that right turns only onto Snelling <br />T.H. 51 Avenue be allowed at Garden Ave., Ruggles and Crawford <br />Construction - Avenues inasmuch as there shall not be enough room for <br />Res Crawford, crossing and storage of car in the median strip on Snelling. <br />Garden and <br />Ruggles Avenues Warkentien moved that in the interest of public safety, the <br />Highway Department be authorized to eliminate full crossing <br />of Snelling Avenue at Crawford Avenue, Garden Avenue, and <br />Ruggles Avenue and allow only right turning traffic. Further <br />moved that the stop signs at these points be placed on the <br />Snelling Avenue entrance instead of on the service drive <br />entrance as presently located. This is to be effective when <br />present construction work on Snelling Avenue is completed. <br />Motion for the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by ffiack <br />and upon a vote being taken thereon, resolution was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Larpenteur Avenue Engineer has investigated the area between California Avenue <br />'No Parking -/Street and Crawford Avenue as to possible parking problems and street <br />Conditions investigated: or alley deterioration. Report of same was submitted to <br />the Council. Discussion of report was held between council <br />and fifteen residents involved who were present. <br />
