L. Hindermann's resignation be regretfully accepted. The Council recognizes his work as street commissioner and planning commission member and is truly appreciative of his services over the years. Hearing -Supplemental Strandquist introduced the following resolution and moved Assessments Continued its adoption: to August 21~, 1967 - Falcon Heights WHER,F~S, a public hearing was held on May 11, 1967 and Congregational considered Supplemental Assessments against the Falcon Churchs Heights Congregational Church for certain parcels of property, and WHEREAS, s_ai:d public hearing was continued until August 10, 1967, and WHEREAS, persons desiring to be heard have requested that said public hearing be continued to August 2l~, 1967, NOWT THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Falcon Heights that said public.. hearing is hereby continued anti]. 8:00 P.M. August 2l~, 1967. Motion for foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Black and upon a vote being taken thereon, resolution was unanimously adop"ted. Engineers Report Engineer Lemberg advised that State Highway Department recommends that full crossing over of Snelling Avenue from Ruggles going west, be eliminated. Snelling Avenue Lemberg recommends that right turns only onto Snelling T.H. 51 Avenue be allowed at Garden Ave., Ruggles and Crawford Construction - Avenues inasmuch as there shall not be enough room for Res Crawford, crossing and storage of car in the median strip on Snelling. Garden and Ruggles Avenues Warkentien moved that in the interest of public safety, the Highway Department be authorized to eliminate full crossing of Snelling Avenue at Crawford Avenue, Garden Avenue, and Ruggles Avenue and allow only right turning traffic. Further moved that the stop signs at these points be placed on the Snelling Avenue entrance instead of on the service drive entrance as presently located. This is to be effective when present construction work on Snelling Avenue is completed. Motion for the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by ffiack and upon a vote being taken thereon, resolution was unanimously adopted. Larpenteur Avenue Engineer has investigated the area between California Avenue 'No Parking -/Street and Crawford Avenue as to possible parking problems and street Conditions investigated: or alley deterioration. Report of same was submitted to the Council. Discussion of report was held between council and fifteen residents involved who were present.
