2603 <br />Treess Inasmuch as residents have called the village office about <br />boulevard trees, it would appear that to date approxianately <br />'twenty more trees have need of repair due to damage by <br />the storm of June 30. After discussion, Nilsen moved, <br />seconded by Strandquist that the village engage Parker <br />Anderson, 1513 W. Hoyt Avenue, for the purpose of making <br />a one-day survey of the village trees nth the idea in mind <br />that there may be problems with storm damaged trees end <br />other trees that village council members cannot anticipate <br />at this time. Ayes: All. Nayss None. Lemberg stated the only alternative <br />would be to completely eliminate the crossings at these <br />points. <br />Maple Knoll Street Mrs. Van Hoven, 1615 Garden Avenue has requested that <br />Sign requested: Watch for Children sign be replaced on Maple Knoll Drive, <br />and also white center line stripe be painted again. Matter <br />was referred to Engineer Lemberg. <br />Treasurers Reports Warkentien moved, seconded by Black that the treasurer be <br />authorized to invest funds from Water Main Improvement of <br />1960, No. 1 Sinking Fund in amount of ~ 8,51t1.8{~ for <br />purchase of 9,000 U. S. Treasury Bills due August 31, 1968. <br />Ayes: Nilsen, Strandquist, Black and Warkentien. Nays: <br />None. Motion was carried. <br />Sewer Contract - Nilsen moved, seconded by Warkentien that attorney Kyle <br />City of Saint Pauls draft letter to the City of Saint Paul regarding the <br />summarization of the sewer contract with submission to <br />the City of Saint Paul for review. Ayess A11. Naysa <br />None. Motion was carried. <br />Civil Defense Letter from Roy V. Aune, acting director Department of <br />Directors Civil Defense dated August 22, 1967 advised that Falcon <br />Heights director is not considered certified.
