<br />2606 <br />Workmen~s Compensation: In accordance with the rate increase approved by the <br />Compensation Insurance Board because of increased <br />benefits provided under the Workmen's Compensation Law, <br />an endorsement of Workmen~s Compensation Insurance <br />Pol:icp has been issued. - <br />Briggs and Morgan Letter under date of August 28, 1967 from Attorney <br />Court Casess Richard Kyle reviewed procedure that has been adopted <br />by Briggs and Morgan for billing with respect to <br />court cases handled by that firm. <br />Sewer Agreement - Copy of Attorney Kyles letter of September 1, 1967 to <br />City of Saint Paul: Eugene Avery, Chief Engineer, Department of Public <br />Works, Saint Paul, with respect to proposed sewer <br />agreement with the City of Saint Pauli was read. <br />SaRrer Instal3.er Having met the requirements, it was moved by Strandquist <br />License Granted: seconded by Warkentien that Francis T. Wagner of Rose <br />Plumbing be granted sewer installers license. Ayes: <br />All. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Snow Plowing Nilsen moved, seconded by Strandquist that the Village <br />1967-1968: Engineer be instructed to get in touch with Ramsey <br />County to make provisions for snow plowing village <br />streets for the season of 1967 to 1968, vrith a <br />minimum of sanding, and to include the new street <br />known as Sheldon Street. Ayesz All. Nays: None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />Local 149, I.B.T.s Letter dated August 30, 1967 from Joe Prifrel, <br />Business Manager Local No. 1l~9, advised that he <br />had signed contract with understanding that senior <br />employees were entitled to three weeks vacation as <br />of this year. Council instructed Attorney Galvin <br />to inquire as to reason for said stipulation inasmuch <br />as the two employees had not fully completed fifteen <br />years of service. <br />Youth Firearm Safety Strandquist moved, seconded by Black that the request <br />Program: of Peter J. McGough to use the village hall for five <br />consecutive Wednesday evenings commencing September 20 <br />through October 18, 1967, not including October 11~ <br />for the Minnesota Youth Firearm Safety Program, be <br />granted. Ayes: All.. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Fire Department Fire Chief Al Helbig was present and submitted report <br />Fire Chief Report: of Fire Department to date, along with proposed budget <br />fir 1968. Nilsen moved, seconded by Strandquist that <br />approval be given for expenditure for the necessary four <br />receptacles (12) twist lock plugs, and shut off valve for <br />the 2~ hose, at a cost not to exceed X250.00. Ayess <br />Nilsen. Strandquist, Stone, Black and Warkentien. Motion <br />was carried. <br />Registration Fee for Stone moved, seconded by Black that the Fire Department be <br />First Aid Seminars: authorized to send Jerry Renchin and Henry Dachtera,fire . <br />fighter volunteers,,. to the Seminars on Special First Aid <br />which will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays during <br />October.
