2622 <br />Engineers Report <br />Continued Engineer advised he has had a couple calls from <br /> residents in Hollywood Court about the service drive <br />Hollywood Court and the recently installed signs designating one way <br />One-aNay Service traffic only. <br />Drive: <br /> Engineer and Ken Quarn made check of the warming houses <br />Warming Houses on and repairs needed. Falcon Heights School warmin g <br />Playgrounds house needs one or two rolls of roofing. The door needs <br /> some repairs. Structure should be painted. Falcon <br /> Woods house needs windows replaced; some insulation <br /> has been pulled down and can be nailed back up, and <br /> the door needs plywood to fix. Stove is in front and <br /> engineer suggests that a hole be made directly above <br /> it in the roof so the pipe need not be extended to the <br /> back of the house to present hole. This structure <br /> also needs painting. <br />Street Sweepings Warkentien moved, seconded by Black that engineer <br /> be authorized to arrange for the armual sweeping of <br /> village streets at the most opportune time and after <br /> the leaves have fallen. Ayess All. Nays: None. <br /> Motion was carried. <br />Sheldon Street Engineer advised that Dunkley Coa£racting Company has <br />Surfaeings asked if final bituminous surfacing could be deferred <br /> until next spring, because of some soft spots. Every- <br /> thing would be done now except final bituminous <br /> surfacing - street could be snow plowed without <br /> surfacing. An agreement could be signed with the <br /> contractor to come in the spring to do the work then. <br /> Engineer recommends that final surfacing of street <br /> be deferred until next spring if suitable agreement <br /> can be drawn. <br /> Stone moved, seconded by Black that the Village Attorney <br /> and Village Engineer make arrangements necessary for the <br /> deferment of the finished coat on Sheldon Street. Ayess <br /> AIl. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Solid <br />Waste Disposal Black moved, seconded by Nilsen that Engineer be authorized <br />Questionnaires to prepare a questionnaire and reply to same with regard <br /> to waste disposal. Forms are to b® included in same <br /> mailing as voter registration notices. Ayess All. <br /> Nayss None. Motion was carried. <br />Fire Department Stone moved, seconded by Nilsen that the Fire Department <br />Requisitions be authorized to purchase i-t®ms on Purchase Requisition <br /> No. 66-8 dated September 15, 1967, with the exception of <br /> the shut-off valve which has been authorized previously, <br /> and on condition that the six English Chamois be bought <br /> at Falcon Heights Hardware Store if they can be obtained <br /> for the equivalent price.
