2621 <br />overhead light at the end of the Iowa Avenue walkway and <br />Snelling Drive. Light is to be mounted in such a fashion <br />that it lights the boulevard and also benefits the play- <br />ground. Ayess All. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Variance - Sussel Black introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />Garage - 1l~27 West adoptions <br />California Avenue <br />W, J.Cardinal: WHEREAS, the Sussel Company has made an application <br />for variance and filed the same ~ th the Zoning Administra- <br />tor for the Village of Falcon Heights along with the fee <br />of $5.00, and <br />WHEREAS, the matter has been referred to the Plannin g <br />Commission for the Village of Falcon Heights, and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended that <br />said application be granted subject to the followings <br />1. Written approval be obtained from horns owner at <br />11123 California which is adjacent to the <br />property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village <br />Council of Falcon Heights grants the variance request made <br />by Sussel Company on behalf of W. J. Cardinal of 1427 West <br />California Avenue on the2lst day of September. Permission <br />is hereby granted for construction of a two-car garage at <br />two feet set back from the rear and side lot lines, to <br />conform to line of other garages, all under provisions of <br />Section 16.05, Ordinance No. 6!t of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights. <br />Motion was duly seconded by Warkentien and upon a note <br />being taken thereon, the following voted for sames Nilsen, <br />Strandquist, Black, Warkentien and Stone and the following <br />were opposed: None. Whereupon said resolution was <br />declared passed. <br />Engineer's Report <br />Street Signs Engineer Lemberg recommended that the following signs be <br />and authorized for purchase: <br />Other Signs: 5 Watch for Children signs <br />3 No Parking here to corner <br />Street signs at Ruggles & Pascal, <br />Sheldon & Ruggles, and <br />Sheldon and Roselawn <br />2. One~M1fay -Do not Enter signs for the north end of <br />the parking at the alley next to Flower City <br />2 Enter Only signs for entrance on Arona south of <br />Larpen tear into the front area parking, and <br />2 signs to back these signs up with ~No Exit.' <br />Nilsen moved, seconded by Stone that the Village Engineer <br />be authorized to purchase and install the above listed <br />signs at an approximate cost of $130.00. Ayes: Nilsen, <br />Strandquist, Stone, Black and Warkentien. Nayss None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />
