2625 <br />REGULAR AJ~ETING OF OCTOBER 17., 1967 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7x00 P.M. with the following members <br />presents Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Black, Stone and <br />Warkentien. Also present were Treasurer Olsen, Engineer Lemberg, and Attorney ; <br />Kyle. <br />Minutes: Stone moved, seconded by yarkentien that the minutes of <br />the meeting of September 28, 1967 be approved. Ayes: All. <br />Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Correspondence Letter of October !t, 1967 from Swanson and Christofferson, <br />Swanson & Attorneys at Law, was regarding accident-that occurred on <br />Christofferson December 19, 196l~ involving the police car_and Arthur <br />Village of Falcon Holmberg. Letter stated the Court entered findings that <br />Heights vs both parties were negligent and no recovery can be made <br />A. Holmberg: by either. Photostatic copy of the Order was enclosed. <br />County Auditor Letter dated October 6, 1967 from Thomas J. Kelley, County <br />Attorney General Auditor attached copy of Attorney Generals Opinion <br />Opinion regarding concerning questions regarding certification of tax levy. <br />Tax Levy: <br />Letter dated October 9, 1967 from the League of Minnesota <br />League of Minn. Municipalities contained tax levy information and the <br />Municipalities: uncertainty that has surrounded the portion of the 1967 <br />Tax Relief and Reform Act. <br />League of Minn. Letter dated September 29, 1967 from the League of Minn. <br />Municipalities - Municipalities stated that League is in process of creating <br />Metropolitan several ad hoc committees to conduct studies and make <br />Section Committee: recommendations on legislative questions and to foster <br />inter municipal cooperation in solving mutual problems. <br />List of various committees was included. <br />N. S, P. Company; Letter of October ~., 1967 advised that distribution will <br />be made from refund check received from its pipeline supplier <br />to its General Service gas customers in St. Paul Division. <br />Justice of Peace Letter to Treasurer Olsen dated October 2 from Justice of <br />Fine Money to adze Peace Coppini requested refund of fines collected for <br />Ramsey County fraud of checks convictions which were processed through <br />Treasurers Justice Court. .Black moved, seconded by Warkentien that <br />check in the amount of X122.00 be authorized in order that <br />fine money collected be forwarded to Ramsey County Treasurer <br />as per Minnesota Statutes. Ayes; Nilsen Strandquist, <br />Black, Stone and Warkentien. Nays; None. Motion was <br />carried. - <br />Licenses Granted: Having met the requirements, it was moved by Strandquist, <br />Sewer Installers seconded by Nilsen that John A. Healy III dba J & T <br />Contracting Inc., 278 West Kellogg Boulevard. be graded <br />Sewer Installers License. .Ayes; All. Nays; Norie. <br />Motion was carried. <br />Master Gas Having met the requirements, it was moved by Strandquist, <br />Installers seconded by Warkentien that John E. Reuer of Quality Heating <br />Company, 3035 Lyndale Avenue, Minneapolis, be .granted a <br />Master Gas Installers License. Ayes: All. Nays: None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />
