Motion was carried. <br />HEARINGSs Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Hearing was <br />called to order at 8x00 P.M. to hear all persons present <br />Street, Curb and as regards the assessment against abutting properties for <br />Gutter, Sanitary the improvement of Sheldon Street by installation of street, <br />Sewer Improvements - curb and gutter, and sanitary sewer, such project is known <br />1967 -Sheldon Street as Project 67-1 (Sanitary Sewer) and Project 67-3 (curb and <br />(Project 67-1 gutter and street). <br />Project 67-3) <br />Engineer Lemberg reviewed project giving estimated costs <br />and actual costs. Attorney Kyle reviewed assessment <br />procedures and certification of unpaid assessments and <br />pertinent facts. Engineer Lemberg pointed out that the <br />total estimated assessments per front fmt was $2l~.03, and <br />actual assessment is $23.03, which includes water, sanitary <br />sewer and street and curb and gutter. <br />liVater Improvements Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Hearing was <br />Sheldon Street and called to order at 8:30 P.M. to hear all persons present <br />Hamline Avenue: as regards the assessment against abutting properties for <br />(Project 67-1~ the improvement of Sheldon Street and Hamline Avenue by <br />~ the installation of ..water mains and lot services and <br /> related benefits, such project is known as Northeast <br /> Water. Main Installation Project 67-1. <br /> Engineer Lemberg reviewed project giving estimated costs <br /> and. actual costs. He stated that costs were higher than <br /> original estimate due mainly to increase in each one of <br /> the unit price bids and also engineering inspection time <br /> by the City of St. Paul was considerably higher than ex- <br /> pected. These factors made cost X1.00 higher than <br /> estimated. He advised that the street was not completely <br /> finished and. final paving will be held off for a wh~1e to <br /> give base it sub-base a chance to settle a little further <br /> but assessments do include finished street. Attorney <br /> Kyle reviewed assessment procedure and pertinent facts. <br />Street, Sidewalk, Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Hearing was <br />Curb and Gutter called to order at 9=00 P.M. to hear all persons present <br />Arona Street: as regards the assessment against abutting properties for <br />(Project 67-3) the improvement of Arona by construction of streets side- <br /> walk, curb and gutter, such project is known as Project <br /> 67 3. Engineer Lemberg ,reviewed project stating that <br /> Arona Street was. constructed under State Aid Program. <br /> Assessments are based on procedure set up_by the village <br /> in assessing only curb and gutter. The sidewalk on the <br /> east side was taken out and replaced to conform to the <br /> street and this is not being assessed. The curb and <br /> gutter and sidewalk on the vast side are then assessed <br /> at X2.50 lineal foot. <br />C. Warren Peterson Regarding the alley drainage on the east side of Arona - <br />1513 W. California: the initial installation was revised but there is still <br /> a problem. Can you describe what might be done? <br />
