Project 67-3) Engineer Lemberg reviewed project giving estimated costs and actual costs. Attorney Kyle reviewed assessment procedures and certification of unpaid assessments and pertinent facts. Engineer Lemberg pointed out that the total estimated assessments per front fmt was $2l~.03, and actual assessment is $23.03, which includes water, sanitary sewer and street and curb and gutter. liVater Improvements Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Hearing was Sheldon Street and called to order at 8:30 P.M. to hear all persons present Hamline Avenue: as regards the assessment against abutting properties for (Project 67-1~ the improvement of Sheldon Street and Hamline Avenue by ~ the installation of ..water mains and lot services and related benefits, such project is known as Northeast Water. He stated that costs were higher than original estimate due mainly to increase in each one of the unit price bids and also engineering inspection time by the City of St. Paul was considerably higher than ex- pected. These factors made cost X1.00 higher than estimated. He advised that the street was not completely finished and. final paving will be held off for a wh~1e to give base it sub-base a chance to settle a little further but assessments do include finished street. Engineer Lemberg ,reviewed project stating that Arona Street was. constructed under State Aid Program. Assessments are based on procedure set up_by the village in assessing only curb and gutter. The sidewalk on the east side was taken out and replaced to conform to the street and this is not being assessed. The curb and gutter and sidewalk on the vast side are then assessed at X2.50 lineal foot. C. Warren Peterson Regarding the alley drainage on the east side of Arona - 1513 W.
