Stewart "NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That <br />Memorial Resolution the Village.Cauncil of the Village of Falcon <br />(Cont'd) Heights shall and it hereby does note in its <br />records its tribes to the life and worth of <br />Clyde J. Stewart and its appreciation of his <br />character, ability, devotion to duty and the <br />very considerable services he has rendered to <br />-the Village and its citizens; and <br />"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a copy of this <br />Resolution be tendered to his bereaved family." <br />Acting Mayor Nominations for the office of Acting Mayor for <br />1958 were called for. George J. Shavor was nominated. <br />There being no further nominations, George J. Shavor <br />was duly and unanimously appointed to the off ice of <br />Acting Mayor for 1958. <br />Village Attorneys Nilsen moved that the firm of Briggs, Gilbert, <br />Morton, Kyle ~ Macartney be engaged as Village <br />Attorneys for the year 1958. Seconded by Shavor <br />and motion carried unanimously. <br />.Deputy Clerk Upon the request of the Village Clerk and after <br />discussion, Warkentien moved that the Village <br />.Clerk be authorized to appoint a Deputy Clerk. <br />seconded by Shavor and motion carried unanimously. <br />The Village Clerk then reported that he appointed <br />Ethel E. White as Deputy Clerk of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights. <br />Bonds After discussion Warkentien moved that the Village <br />Clerk's bond be set at $500, that the Treasurer's <br />bond be set at 1,000 and that the Deputy Clerk's <br />bond be set at 1,000 and that one-year bonds be <br />procured through the Keller Corporation, except that <br />the Treasurer's bond should be for two years with <br />bills to be .submitted to the Village. Seconded <br />by Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />" Financial Statement In connection with preparing the financial state- <br />ment for the year ended December 31, 1957, Shavor <br />moved that the Clerk and Treasurer be authorized <br />to arrange for assistance on the same basis as <br />last year, to publish the said financial statement <br />in the Rose Tribune and to see that all necessary <br />work be done in connection with the financial <br />
