There was a discussion of the <br />Financial Statement and it was agreed by the Council and Treasurer <br />that the Treasurer submit his Financial Statement under the old <br />basis. <br />Autumn There was a short discussion regarding these streets during which <br />& Prior Engineer L~ungren stated he didn't feel it was necessary to spend <br />Sts. any money for soil testing -- that he felt they had been able to <br />determine the proper procedure without the testing and that they <br />hope to have these streets taken care of in the next couple weeks. <br />Tatum There was a discussion regarding grading and drainage of Tatum St., <br />Street after which it was moved by Coppini, seconded by Utecht and unanimously <br />voted to adopt the following resolution: <br />RESOLVED: '+WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve Tatum Street from <br />Larpenteur Avenue to Roselawn Avenue by grading and storm sewer <br />construction, and to assess the benefitted property for all or a <br />portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minn. Stats. <br />Secs. 429.011 to 429.111, <br />"NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of Falcon <br />Heights <br />1. The Council will consider the improvement of such street ir: accord- <br />ance with the report of Vernon L. L~ungren, Village Engineer, dated <br />May 22nd, 1958, stating that the improvement is feasible and can <br />best be carried out as a part of the street resurfacing program at <br />this time; and the assessment of the abutting property for all or a <br />portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minn. Stats. 429.011 <br />to 429.111 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $9,625.00. <br />2. A Public Hearing shall re held on such }imposed improvement on <br />Monday, the 9th day of June, 1958, in the Council Chambers in the <br />Village Hall at 7:30 P. Ad., and the Clerk shall give Public Notice <br />of such Hearing and Improvement as required by law. <br />F. H. It was moved by Nilsen and seconded by Coppini that the Treasurer <br />State be authorized to sign the release prepared by Falcon Heights State <br />Bank Bank authorizing them to pick up-the X20,000,00 worth of U. S. <br />Treasury Notes, due June 15th, 1958, deposited at the First <br />National Bank, and authorize the Treasurer to deliver to Mr. Sanford <br />the Custodian's Receipt, dated December 21st, 1955, upon assurances <br />from Mr. Sanford that suitable Government Securities will replace <br />these notes. Motion unanimously carried. <br />Gage After discussion, it was moved by Utecht and seconded by Nilsen <br />Const. thatthe new plans drawn up by Engineer L~ungren for the proposed <br />Co. Gage development be referred to the Falcon Heights Planning Board. <br />Motion unanimously carried.
