<br />Meeting was called to order at 7:lt0 P. M., the following Council Members being
<br />present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; Geo. Shavor, Trustee; ~Pillis Warkentien,
<br />Trustee, Paul Coppini, Trustee; Wm. R. Utecht, Clerk. Also present were Frank
<br />N. Graham, Village Attorney, Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer and Ethel NYhite, Deputy
<br />Clerk and Deputy Treasurer.
<br />The Minutes of the special meeting of June 9th were approved as submitted.
<br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of June 12th were approved as submitted.
<br />MGI License The Clerk was instructed to order 500 sets of gas burner license
<br />Application application blanks from Diamond Press, 21~ S. 6th St., Minneapolis,
<br />Blanks. Minnesota at ~1I~.90 as per quotation of June 17th.
<br />Seebeck The request of Bernard N. Seebeck, 1381W. Iowa Avenue, in a
<br />Garage letter dated May 22nd, 1958, requesting a variance from section
<br />Variance 5 1!t ~ ordinance #3, the building code, to permit him to erect
<br />a new double garage on his property which would be approximately
<br />17 feet from his neighbor's garage was considered by the Council.
<br />On motion by Utecht, seconded by Shavor, the following resolu-
<br />tion was unanimously adopted:
<br /> RESOLVED: Teat the Council finds that the granting of the var-
<br /> iance requested by Mr. Seebeck will not materially affect ad-
<br /> versely health, safety or general welfare o~ Public or Private
<br /> Property.
<br /> RESOLVID FURTHER: That the variance requested be and hereby is
<br /> granted, and that the building inspector be authorized to issue
<br /> the permit requested.
<br /> The following Ayes were counted: Shavor, Coppini, Nilsen and
<br /> Utecht.
<br />Sign - Don It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Utecht, and unanimously
<br />Shields, Lord voted to permit Don Shields, of the Lord Salisbury Shoppe, to
<br />Salisbury erect a used Neon Sign 20' x 30" across the front of his build-
<br />Shoppe ing in accordance with plans submitted.
<br />League of It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Utecht and unanimously voted
<br />Minn. Mun. that the Deputy Clerk be authorized to secure one copy of the
<br /> new 1958 "Directory of Minnesota Municipal Officials" at X3.00.
<br />Pumping Unit Letter of June 23rd from Harry S. L~rownson, County Engineer, was
<br />Fore Main ~ read. It stated reconstruction of Larpenteur Avenue from Ferrnrood
<br />Storm Sew. to Arona would cost X296,586.80; an analyzation of the bid did closes
<br />Facilities that, subject to possible minor adjustments, the complete pumping
<br /> unit, force main and storm sewer facilities will cost X55,216.55;
<br /> deducting state aid funds, on the basis of 25~, which amounts to
<br /> ~13,80l~.1l~, leaves a balance of $1i1,1~.12.1~1 for which the Village
<br /> of Falcon Heights, the Village n~f Roseville and the County of
<br /> Ramsey will be responsible on an equal basis, in other words 1~3
<br />each; each of these three governmental units will be responsible
<br /> for an amount of l~13,80l~.llt subject to such adjustments, either
<br /> up or down, as may develop. Such adjustments, if any, will be
<br /> very minor ones,
