Ruggles St. Gale Libby and Dick y~eatherston appeared before the Council to discuss drainage on Ruggles St. During the conversation, it ti~;as brought out that when Ruggles Street was widened ~ feet, part of the ditches was filled in, t}iereby changing the pitch, the fill is being washed out from under the finished surface of the road, which fills culverts, stops flow of water and causes ex- pensive cleaning and maintenance. It was su~*gested by Ljungren that the best way to remedy the situation would be to clEan the ditches out, lower them about 3", cover the street side and bottom of ditches with a bituminous surfacing, this surfacing to be extended about 1 foot up the boulevard side of the ditch, the property owners to immediately sod that portion of the 1 1 1
