1046 work, the only thing that could be done was to spread the <br />gravel and then complete the bituminous work next Spring. <br />Parking Lot Ljungren advised he did not think the parking lot as proposed <br />Falcon Heights according to plans submitted by Mr. Murchie would have any <br />Congregational major effect on the holding capacity for storm water runoff, <br />Church and recommended that the Council 0. K. the plans. He has <br />written Rev. Trimble to this effect and advised him that if <br />any problems arise, Mr. Murchie should get in touch with <br />him -- Ljungren. The Clerk was instructed to write Rev. <br />Trimble asking that he furnish us with a complete set of <br />plans for the parking lot, also a report advising what they <br />will do this Fall. <br />Gas Mains Ljungren advised he had a request from Northerr. States <br />Falcon Woods Power Company for permission to install gas mains in the <br />No 2. new Gage Addition and he has informed the gas company +.,hat <br />the Village will not allow any gas main in there until the <br />sewer is put in and the street is to grade. Ljungren <br />recommended that Northern States be granted permission to <br />install gas service as requested with that provision. It <br />was moved by Utecht, Seconded by Nilsen, and unanimously voted <br />to grant Northern States Power permission to install gas mains <br />at the locations listed below after the sewer is installed <br />and after the rough grading of the street, but prior to gravel <br />base construction. <br />On Prior Avenue front Autumn Street to Summer Street. <br />On Moore Avenue from Summer Street south. <br />On Howell Avenue from Summer Street South. <br />On Summer Street from Moore Avenue to Howell Avenue. <br />Budget Vern Ljungren submitted estimated budget figures for the <br />coming year. There was a general discussion regarding <br />budgets but the work was not completed. Ljungren stated 12 <br />to 13 hundred dollars a mile should be a good average for village <br />street upkeep. We have about 10 miles. <br />Idaho-'& Ljungren thinks they could take care of the water standing at <br />Pascal Idaho and Pascal by draining to Larpenteur Avenue, without a <br />Drainage storm sewer. <br />Skating Rinks It was recommended that Ljungren see about getting the Falcon <br />Heights Skating Rink in shape for flooding. Utecht will sec <br />Baden about getting the Iowa Rink Ready. The Deputy Clerk <br />was instructed to contact Mr. Vanelli of Northern States <br />Power for his recommendations as to the lighting at the Iowa <br />Rink. Olsen will talk to Rekstad about constructing a warms <br />ing house or lean-to shelter. <br />Alley between Coppini reported that the water lays right off the entrance <br />Calif. & Larp. of this alley. Ljungren will check. Coppini reported that <br />Arona to the corner at Iowa and Hamline was very bad. Water stands <br />Pascal there and also along Iowa. Ha11.Newman and ask their recommendations on best way to hook up <br />the sewer, also a written quotation for doing the work. <br />
