11Q0 <br />_Larpenteur and Crawford. Coppini reported that since the <br />air conditioning has been shut off, the alley is dry. <br />Tatum St. It was moved by ~tarkentien, seconded by Coppini and unanimously <br />Assessments voted that the Clerk be authorized to take necessary steps to <br />certify v;ith the County Auditor of Ramsey County all unpaid <br />Tatum Street Assessments as soon as possible after November <br />5th, 1958. <br />Unpaid It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by ~darkentien and unanimously <br />Sewer voted that the Clerk be authorized to certify to the County <br />Rental Auditor at the time which taxes are certified to the County <br /> Auditor, the unpaid sewer rental bill and penalties owed by <br /> ia'Irs. ~4arguerette J. Xoungner, 1867 W. Larpenteur Avenue. <br />Gage Escrow It was moved by Coppini, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously <br /> voted that the Escrow Deposit of X500.00 made by Mr. Gage <br /> to assure construction of Prior Avenue from Autumn Street to <br /> the south property line of Falcon Woods No. 1 be switched over <br /> to an Escrowr Deposit to cover the construction of Prior Avenue <br /> from Summer Street to the south property line of Falcon ~~oods <br /> No. 2, it being understood that BBr. Gage will construct Prior <br /> Avenue from Autumn Street to the south property line of <br /> Falcon Woods No. 1 in connection with putting in the street <br /> in Falcon V~'oods No. 2. <br />Fire Dept. Attorney Graham suggested putting in a dollar figure for .. <br />Relief Firemen's Relief when setting up the budget as requested by <br />Assn. the Auditor's Office by phone October 10th, 1958. <br />Law Suit The Northern States Power Suit against Lametti and against the <br /> Village is still scheduled to go to trial November 3rd. <br /> Lametti asked for permission to amend their answer in connec- <br /> tion with protecting Northern States Power Company's lines <br /> while putting in the sewer. Lotion is coming up for hearing this <br /> i~onday. Graham thinks they will be permitted to do it. He <br /> also thinks Northern States will ask to amend their original <br /> charge to include work done later in the year. <br />?3arthel After discussion, it was recorunended that Attorney Graham write <br />Villas Attorney Greenstein advising him that the Committee assigned to <br /> investigate the purchase of these lots had suggested that the <br /> Council pay $500.00 per lot, the Village to take over the <br /> assessment. <br />Culverts It was recommended. that Ljungren check all culverts and see that <br /> the leaves, etc. are cleaned out before winter so we will have <br /> good drainage. <br />Policing .After discussion, it was moved by Utecht, seconded by ~iarkentien <br />and unanimously voted that Jerome Johnson, 1029 Argyle, St. <br />Paul, be hired as of November 1st at the rate of X350.00 per <br />month with fringe benefits the same as apply to the Fire <br />Department, with hours to be established by the Police Comm. <br />as directed by the Council. <br />Uniforms It was moved by Utecht, seconded by Shavor and unanimously <br />voted that 'Narkentien be authorized to spend up to X125.00 to <br />provide the new Police Officer with a uniform. <br /> <br />
