The Highway Department is <br />very much interested in drainage because of the proposed underpass. <br />They a.re vrilling to go along with the County in an effort to get <br />some type of sump area back of the fair grounds. They plan to <br />leave a.n opening for Hermes and Lindig, and provide an opening for <br />a future street at Lindig's. They plan to install storm sewer from <br />St. ~.gary's to Snelling, but there won't be any median strir until <br />just west of Fry Street. Regarding water pressure3Ljungren advised <br />Holzer told him pressure is no longer a problem <br />West F, Hy Ljungren advised Gage is still holding the dirt which we had planned <br />Recreation to move to the recreation area last Fall, and Graham asked that <br />Area; Ljungren let him know shortly before they plan to move it so he <br />can contact the University and see if this plan is still agreeable <br />wi+„h them. i,4ayor Nilsen advised Curtis Larsen had told him <br />Edmond's plan is about ready for presentation to the Council; <br />Street Utecht advised somas of the street signs are in pretty bad shape <br />Signs: and aska_d that Ljungren check them and see that -`i,hey are put in <br />shape as soon as the weather permits, <br />Posting Ljungrs3n advised that the State Law provides that all road liinit:~ <br />Roadsa are considered 1~ ton from March 15th to May 15th unless otherwise <br />designated by the Council. It was remarked that the weather had <br />been bad for surface cracks -phis year, and it was recommended that <br />the Council make arrangements for posting our streets "3 ton limit" <br />at the next Council meeting. <br />Gutter Ljungren suggested running gutter line levels at Idaho & Pascal as <br />Line ?.,evels: yell as Simpson & Crawford for drainage check. It shouldn't take <br />over 3 hours, and inasmuch as they are perfectly dry, now would be <br />a good time to do this work„ <br />Pumping It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor and unanimously voted that <br />'Stations we pay Ramsey County X3500.00 as part payment on our share of the <br />cost of the Ramsey County Pumping Station a~'i; the Gottfried Pit sub- <br />jeet too money being available for this purpose as determined by the <br />Village Treasurer. <br />Tree Trimming: It was pointed out that the trees on the north side of Larpenteur <br />were the only trees that were not trimmed by the Village.
