~~~~. <br />REGULAR MEETING MARCH 19, 1959. <br />Meeting xas called to order at 7:15 P. M., the following Council Members being <br />presents Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Willis Warkentien, <br />Trustee, and Wm, R. Utecht, Clerk. Also present were Nick Christensen, Building <br />Inspector; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: Paul <br />Coppini, Trustee and Yam. E. Olsen, Treasurer. <br />Petition for Utecht read petition presented to Mrs. White, Deputy Clerk, by <br />rezoning Lindig Wm. Korstad, Attorney, March 17th, 1959, requesting the rezoning <br />property of the following property from business district classification <br />to district "A" classification: <br />The xesterly 285' of lot 8, Annie L. Hendrickson's Acre <br />Lots, Ramsey County, Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, ex- <br />cepting from said tract the following described parts: <br />1. The North 850' of said tract; <br />2. The West 60' of the south 195' of said tract; and <br />3. The South-179' of said tract lying easterly of the <br />xesterly 60' of said tract. <br />This petition was checked by Attorney Graham against an owner- <br />ship report of the St. Paul Abstract and Title Guarantee <br />Company showing the oxners of all the property xithin a radius <br />of 500 feet of the property sought to be rezoned and he found <br />that as required by Section 12 (e) of our ordinance No. 8, the <br />petition has been signed by more than 50~ by number of the <br />property oxners xithin 500 feet of the property sought to be <br />rezoned. <br />Attorney Graham advised that since the petition is properly ex- <br />ecuted the Council must now, in accordance xith Section 12 (e) <br />of Ordinance No. 8, fix a date not less then 10 days nor more <br />than 30 days fora Public Hearing before the Council on the <br />proposed rezoning. Notice of the hearing and proposed change <br />must be posted in three conspicuous places in the village and <br />it has been customary also to publish a cooly of the notice in <br />the Rose Tribune. <br />Utecht moved acknowledgment of receipt of petition and that it <br />be referred to the Planning Commission for their study and that <br />they be requested to report back to the Council April 9th, 1959, <br />at 7 P. M. or that they submit their findings in xriting so it <br />is in the possession of the Council by that time. Seconded by <br />Shavor and unanimously carried, <br />Utecht moved that the Vi11a~e Council of Falcon Heights set <br />the Public Hearing for 7:00 P. M. Thursday, April 9th, and that <br />the following notice be posted at the designated posting places <br />and published in the Rose Tribune: <br />LEGAL NOTICE. VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS NOTICE OF PUBS.IC <br />HEARING. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be <br />held at 7:00 P. M. on Thursday, April 9th, 1959, before the <br />Council of the Village of Falcon Heights at the Village Hall, <br />161t~t hest Larpenteur Avenue, Falcon Heights, Minnesota, at <br />xhich the petition dated February 10th, 1959 signed by Frank J. <br />Collins and others requesting that property described ass <br />
