(d) answer a request by an adjoining municipality for emergency police assistance when such request has been transmitted over the county radio service; (e) pursue law violators; or (f) upon-the specific direction of the Public Safety Commissioner or the Mayor for Village purposes. All trips outside the Village are to be logged and described in detail. 8. If for arty reason-the police car or the officer is to be temporarily out of service, or out of radio communication, the radio dispatcher is to be notified and proper notation made in the log book. The radio dispatcher is also to be notified when the car or the officer returns to service. 9. All investigations are to be conducted, except in emer- gencies, under the supervision and direction of the Public Safety Commissioner. The Public Safety Commissioner shall be notified of any emergency investigation and its status as soon as possible. Any unusual incident or circums'-.ance of major importance shall be reported immediately to the Public Safety Commissioner, ~~Iayor or Village official designated by the Mayor. 10. Any uncontrolled fire or arty unsafe or hazardous condi- tion shall be reported immediately to the proper Village depart- ment or authority. I1. 1Phile on duty, police officers are not to un-necessarily frequent public places or visit in private homes except on official business. 12. Police officers must keep uniforms in a neat and clean condition and the uniform is not to becworn while off duty. 13. These rules and regulations apply equally to full time and arp t time police officers except that Section 2 does not apply to vsrt tZme police officers.
