(d) answer a request by an adjoining municipality for <br />emergency police assistance when such request has been <br />transmitted over the county radio service; <br />(e) pursue law violators; or <br />(f) upon-the specific direction of the Public Safety <br />Commissioner or the Mayor for Village purposes. <br />All trips outside the Village are to be logged and <br />described in detail. <br />8. If for arty reason-the police car or the officer is to be <br />temporarily out of service, or out of radio communication, the <br />radio dispatcher is to be notified and proper notation made in the <br />log book. The radio dispatcher is also to be notified when the <br />car or the officer returns to service. <br />9. All investigations are to be conducted, except in emer- <br />gencies, under the supervision and direction of the Public Safety <br />Commissioner. The Public Safety Commissioner shall be notified <br />of any emergency investigation and its status as soon as possible. <br />Any unusual incident or circums'-.ance of major importance shall be <br />reported immediately to the Public Safety Commissioner, ~~Iayor or <br />Village official designated by the Mayor. <br />10. Any uncontrolled fire or arty unsafe or hazardous condi- <br />tion shall be reported immediately to the proper Village depart- <br />ment or authority. <br />I1. 1Phile on duty, police officers are not to un-necessarily <br />frequent public places or visit in private homes except on <br />official business. <br />12. Police officers must keep uniforms in a neat and clean <br />condition and the uniform is not to becworn while off duty. <br />13. These rules and regulations apply equally to full time <br />and arp t time police officers except that Section 2 does not apply <br />to vsrt tZme police officers. Part time officers will work as <br />sche~3u~ec~by the Public Safety Commissioner and will be paid at <br />the rate of X2.00 per hour. <br />.1 .Z rY <br />1 s" 3 <br />lt~. The Public Safety Commissioner, or, in his absence, the <br />9~ayor, or Village official designated by the Mayor, may temporarily <br />suspend any police officer vrthout pay for violation of any of <br />these rules or regulations or whenever he deems such action <br />necessary for the good of the Department. <br />15. The Village Council has the power to discharge police <br />officers for cause.
