It adviseds They have made a preliminary plan and cost estimate, <br />Ave. from also a visual field inspection of the site and recommend as followss <br />Sne11. west The proposed improvement is feasible. The proposed improvement may <br />to 726' east be made as proposed and need not be combined with some otrier iar- <br />of center proeement. Estimate of cost for the proposed improvement is as <br />line of Cleve.followss 12» cast iron watermain~ including hydrants, values and <br />Avenue. other necessary appurtenances, complete in place $57,338.x. <br />Larp. Ave. Graham's letter of June 26th to Nilsen was reads It stated Graham <br />Sewer Conn. had talked to Quayle of the Co. Attorney's office regarding ex- <br /> tending approximately 6 sewer stubs for a distance of 12 to 17' <br /> so that they will not be under the new cement pavement. LSungren <br /> indicated the cost of making necessary extensions before paving is <br /> completed would run X250 tol6300. It would cost about ~5~. apiece <br /> to make these connections in-the future if the pavement has to be <br /> broken to reach the stub. Quayle agrees the intelligent thing to <br /> do is put in extensions at this times but maintains County has nm <br /> liability. However, Quayle has agreed he will advise the County to <br /> split the cost with`the Village, the Village to pay one-half and <br /> the County one-half. L~ungren is proceeding with this work. <br />Investor's It was moved by Utecht, seconded by Warkentien and unanimously <br />Service voted that copy of letter from ~foody's Investors Service be <br /> referred to Treasurer Wm. E. Olsen for reply. <br />Parks and Letter of June 23rd from Indianhead Truck Line, Inc., was read. <br />playgrounds It stated: By action of the Board of Directors for'the Roseville <br /> Chamber of Commerce, it was Roland D. Wilsey's duty, as President, <br /> to advise it is the opinion of the Chamber that the West Falcon <br /> Heights playground is a private enterprise. As such, their by-laws <br /> would not permit them to engage or participate in furthering such a <br /> cause. The Clerk was instructed to send a copy of this letter as <br /> well as Warkentien's letter regarding traffic controls to Curtis <br /> L. Larson Chairman, ~fest Falcon Heights Playground Comm. West <br /> Faleon Heights Playground Association's minutes of June 11th were <br /> read. They indicate efficient planning and work which are showing <br /> good results. <br />Parking Lot The condition of the parking lot ryas discussed and it was decided <br /> that Mayor Nilsen will consult with Ashbach's Resident Engineer <br /> pointing out that the Village expec4ts them to leave that lot jn as <br /> goad shape as they found it before starting the work on Larpenteur <br /> Avenue. Nilsen moved that a letter be written to L~ungren, Village <br /> Engineer, instructing him to get in touch with the County regard- <br /> ing placing the Falcon Heights Village Parking Lot in the same con- <br /> dition it was prior to the beginning of construction. Seconded by <br /> Shavor. Unanimously carried. <br />1 <br />Intersection The Clerk was instructed to ask the Village Engineer for a report on <br />Snell. & the progress of the study he and Dahlgren are making on this matter, <br />Larpenteur and whether or not they had reported to D. O. Julep. Also what had <br />transpired regarding the matter of help in financing the pro3ect. <br />Incinerator After discussion, it was moved by Shavor that the clerk be requested <br />to make. a survey of the refuse haulers in Falcon Heights re arding <br />their feelings and recommendations regarding this matter. Seconded <br />by Warkentien and carried. <br />
