Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Paul Coppini, Trustee and Wm. R. <br />Utecht, Clerk. Also present were Frank N. Graham, Village Attorney; Wm. E. Olsen, <br />Treasurer, Nick Christensen, Building Inspector; Vernon L. L~ungren, Village Engi- <br />neer and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absents Willis Warken- <br />tien, Trustee. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of 7/9/59 were approved as submitted. <br />Minutes of the special hearing of 7/13/59 Mere approved as submitted. <br />Licenses All requirements having been met, it was moved by Nilsen, seconded <br />by Coppini 'and unanimously voted that MASTER PLUMBER'S LICENSE X39 <br />be granted to Otto Swoboda and/or D. W. Hickey & Co., Inc., 18li1 <br />University Avenue, St. Paul, t~, Minnesota. <br /> All requirements having been met, it was moved by Coppini, seconded <br /> by Shavor and unanimously voted that MASTER PLUMBER'S LICENSE #38 <br />' be granted to A. E. Wickworth, dba A. E. Wickworth & Sons Plumbing <br /> & Heating, Inc., 1050 Grand Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota. <br />Plumbing After discussion, Shavor moved that Wm. Jastrow's son be authorized <br />Inspector's to substitute in his place as Plumbing Inspector during Mr. Jastrow's <br />Vacation absence on a vacation. Seconded by Utecht and unanimously carried. <br />Ramsey Letter of July 15tH from Attorney Graham was read. It advised he had <br />County corrected the legal description and that it was Haw in proper form <br />Storm to be executed by the Village. It was moved by Shavor, seconded by <br />Sewer <br />- Coppini and unanimously voted that file Clerk and the Mayor be author- <br />Easement ized to execute the storm sewer easement. <br />University Letter of July 15th from Attorney Graham was read. It stated he had <br />Grove talked with Mr. Pavers, Ramsey County Assessor, who advised him that <br />Taxes the repeal by the County Commissioners of the tax on household goods <br /> will not in any way affect the taxation of the professor's homes in <br /> University Grove. They will continue to be treated and taxed as <br /> other real estate in the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Patching & Letter of July 20th, written to the Rose Tribune by Attorney Graham, <br />Seal Coat- was read. It stated he was enclosing an Advertisement for bids for <br />ing Streets patching and seal coating Village Streets which should be published <br /> twice in the Rose Tribune for July 23rd, 1959 and July 30th, 1959. <br />Storm Attorney Graham reported he had checked on the Iowa Sump Hole problem. <br />Water In the future, we should call and get an 0. K. from the Public Works <br /> Department from Holmboe, Winkel or Tews. If we feel there is an emer- <br /> ~ency and want to pump at night but can't reach any of the above named <br /> men, it will be all right if the Village Mayor, or official in charge <br /> in his absence, gives his permission and we call first thing in the <br /> morning and report to one of the above. Winkel doesn't feel there <br /> will be any great harm done if it is handled this way. Report the <br /> length of time pumped and approximate capacity of equipment used. <br />Records Graham thinks we can get our records back from Judge Graff when he <br /> returns from his vacation about the first of August. <br />Dog Ordin- The proposed Dog Ordinance was read. Minor changes were made. It <br />ante will be held for action until Warkentien returns from vacation. <br />
