1292 <br />Streets Due to the illness of NIr. Gage, the street work in Falcon <br />Falcon Woods Woods No. 2 has been delayed, but should be done. Attorney <br />No. 2. Graham will check to see if it is possible for Mr. Gage to <br /> contract for the work to be done according to Village Specifi- <br /> cations and under the supervision of the Village Engineer, <br /> thus saving time, which is of the essence, due. to the late- <br /> ness of the season. <br />Intersection A4ayor Nilsen reported on his conference with the Minnesota <br />Snelling &. State Highway Officials and advised that they realize some- <br />Larpenteur thing should be done to widen this intersection and that they <br /> hope to cut the islands back this Fall. The County is also <br /> urging that this work be done this Fall. <br />Drainage The Highway Department are also proceeding with plans to nut <br /> a gravity flow from the grade separation on Snelling to the <br /> ponding area between Idaho and Iowa. Their borings showed <br /> good seepage possibilities. They plan to cut the drainage <br /> pond down ]~ feet. Their plans at present would involve a <br /> fifteen to twenty thousand dollar expenditure by the Village <br /> as against a thirty to forty thousand dollar expenditure by <br /> the State - the State to pay the City of St. Paul the entire <br /> cost of enlarging the Hoyt Avenue Storm Sewer to an extent <br /> that would permit pumping during the peak load. <br />Bills On motion by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor, the following bills <br /> were ordered paids <br /> General Fund: <br /> County of Ramsey, street patching and lighting 4107.60 <br /> Powers, Police Uniform Shirts 19.90 <br /> Capitol Electronics, transf radio to new squad <br /> car 29.00 <br /> Joe W. No. 55 15.03 <br /> Rose Tribune, Ad for bids and notice of hear. 18.lt2 <br /> American Linen, Laundry service 7„$p <br /> N, W. Bell Telephone, Mi 6-5200 22.90 <br /> Stan Schultz, time worked Slama's vacation 92.50 <br /> Don Schoen, ditto 92.50 <br /> Wm. Jastrow, Insp fees and expenses August 68.oG <br /> Frank B. Eha, has inspection fees 8I~.00 <br /> Northern States Power Co., light and power 126.l~9 <br /> Midway Ford, squad car repairs 13.42 <br /> Ethel E.
