Larpenteur, <br />consisting of alterations and inside partitions for the Laundromat <br />and the Loan Company, at an estimated cost of X8,000.00 without <br />prejudice to the pending application for a building permit for <br />the addition. <br />T. A. Schifsky Utecht moved that the Clerk and. the Mayor be authorized to sign <br />Contract for the contract entered into with T. A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc., <br />Street work for street work. Seconded by Coppini and unanimously carried, <br />Herbst Water Utecht moved that the Clerk and the ~Rayor be authorized to sign <br />Main Contract the contract entered into with Herbst Construction Company re- <br /> lating to the Larpenteur Avenue Watermain Improvement. Seconded <br /> by Warkentien and unanimously carried. <br />Streets Ljungren reported that Gage gave Craig Company the contract to <br /> blacktop the streets in Falcon Woods No. 2, Craig to proceed <br /> with the work as soon as possible this Fall. <br />Parking Lot L~ungren has been working with Hermes regarding the black-topping <br /> of the car wash parking lot. Hermes has agreed to cut present <br /> grade at property line down !t inches. <br />Ponding Area The State is proceeding with the Larpenteur Avenue Drainage <br /> Study to find out what the effect would be on the Idaho--Snelling <br /> ponding area - the thought being that the Highway Department may <br /> be able to absorb the expense over and beyond what the Village <br /> intended to spend. They are thinking in terms of an under-ground <br /> pumping station and possibly under-ground drainage tile, also an <br /> arrangement with the City of St. Paul tes~ permit pumping as soon as <br /> it starts to rain rather than waiting until the peak load has <br /> passed, <br />Pumping Station Graham reported he has contacted the State Board of Health and <br />they are sending him a copy of their rules and regulations, He <br />has also spent some time checking the law as to the effect of <br />condemnation proceedings on private restrictions. <br />
