~t ~ ~S <br />Pump Copy of Roseville's Ordinance jj285 regarding pumps, vrhich eras <br />Ordinance sent ±o ±he F`~lcon Heights Vi~_lage Council by Jack Stadler, <br />Bureau of `ialuations, St. Paul, was read and referred to <br />Attorney Graham for his attention. <br />Pumping Sta. After discussion, it was moved by Nilsen, seconded b~T Shavor <br />Gottfried. Pit and unanimously voted that the ClArk be authorized to make a <br />payment of X3500.00 to Ramsey County to apply as a payment on <br />the Village Share of the cost in the amount of °13,969.65, <br />on which a payment of X3500.00 has been made, leaving a balance <br />of ~fi10,1~69.65 which proposed payment will reduce to X6969.65. <br />Payment to be made prior to Becember loth„ <br />Engineer's I~~ungren advised that their fee is 7/; 25q of which is for <br />Report preliminary work, 50~ for plans and specifications, and 25/ for <br />supervision. <br />All work has been completed on the Fry Street Extensions and <br />they recommend that. this main be accepted by the Village, Total <br />project cost X2098.91, Spiegler's deposit was :"2023.56, leaving a <br />balance of `75.35. After discussion, it was moved by 6^+arkentien~ <br />seconded by Shavor and unanimously voted that the Fry Street <br />ti~atermain to service Spiegler!s northernmost Apartment, be <br />accepted; and that. Spiegler be sent a bill for the difference of <br />X75.35, enclosing a copy of ~~rley's letter, <br />Carley's letter of November 24th, regarding the Larpenteur <br />Avenue ?~~~"atermain was read. Total cost to date is ?563,2.02..l~3. <br />Construction of the main itself along Larpenteur h.as been coma <br />pleted, inspected and found acceptable. Several items of clean up <br />work remain. It is their opinion X500.00 would cover this work, <br />and their recommendation that X1,000.00 be withheld from Herbst <br />Construct~.on to assure completion~of this work next spring. <br />Carley has prepared an estimate covering work performed by T~ A. <br />Schifsky & Sons, which includes an item in the amount of "255.00 <br />covering work which was to have been done by Herbst. However, <br />Schifsky included this item in his bill to the Village. Rather <br />than have new verified account statements and estimates prepared <br />Carley allowed this item to remain in the Schifsky bill and de= <br />ducted an equal amount from the money due Herbst Construction. <br />Several items of work remain along Larpenteur Avenue for vrhich the <br />Village will have to pay. There are approximately 7 more driveways <br />to repair and. some redressing with topsoil. It is C~rley's opinion <br />that this work can be completed for approximately X1000.00, <br />1 <br />It eras moved by Shavor, seconded by Coppini and unanimously voted. <br />. that the clerk issue a check on the-Larpenteur Avenue bUatermain <br />Pumping Station Improvement Fund to Herbst Construction Company <br />in the amount of 4S1!~.,562.1~, the amount dues less X1000.00 to <br />~ cover clean up and finishing work. <br />~'~ <br />.L~ungren reported he had talked to Pure Oil Company's engineer <br />who said he will check the grade of their lot -» that it was never <br />~ their intention to have any traffic coming in from the back. <br />h~~~~~~ L~ungren suggested that they clean out material they put in and <br />-` set up a barricade. <br />(~ L <br />
