":?ayor Nilsen welcomed them, <br />explained that the Council consisted of 1 Ilayor elected fcr two <br />years, 3 Trustees elected for 3 years and 1 Clerk elected for tlvo <br />years, each of whom had a vote; plus 1 Treasurer elected for t~rro <br />years who was custodian of the Village monetary resources but had <br />no vote. Knopp, First National Bank of St. Pauly was read. <br />It advised. they had mailed the Village a check for ~?22,OOG.00 to <br />cover that amount of Treasury bills which matured December 22nd. <br />They also enclosed two statements showing purchase from the <br />Village of X13,000.00 Treasury Bills due December 31st, 1959 at <br />f>12,9g5.83; and ~fi31,000.00 Treasury bills due January 15th, 1960 <br />at ~~30,938.00, both amounts being credited to the account of <br />the Falcon Heights State 'ank for the account of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights Sanitary Sewer Sinking Fund, Total of the check <br />plus the two credit items amounts to X65,933.83. <br />Attorney Graham's letter of December 16th to B. ~s. Knopp, First <br />National Hank of St. Paul, was read. In the letter Graham made <br />arrangements for the sale and deposit of securities to enable <br />the Village to pay the X65,639.83 due on the Sanitary Sewer fonds. <br />Graham's letter of December 29th to ~.4ayor Nilsen eras read. It <br />advised that, he had delivered to the American National Sank the <br />Vi:~_l.a~re of Falcon Heights' check in the amount of :65,639.83, <br />representing the payment due on the Sanitary Sewer Bonds January <br />1st, 1960. <br />Let+.,er from ~!~aterous Company „.,as -read, It enclosed acknowled g.- <br />ment of production order ccovering 2-1/2't bydran t nozzle cap for <br />pressure testing of hydrants, as ordered by Carley Engineering <br />Company, and will bill same directly to the Village. <br />Letters from Alvin UI. Tschirley and ?ethel College, granting <br />permission to flood the two empty lots at Pascal and Larpen teur <br />for use as a skating rink, provided the Village assures them we <br />have insurance so they will not be liable in case of accidents, <br />were read. The Deputy Clerk vra.s instructed to contact Herness <br />of the I.~Zutual Service Casualty Insurance Company and requE~st that <br />Certificates of Insurance be sent to Tscherley and Bethel College. <br />
