If the meeting is not <br /> concluded, we can continue the hearing to another time. <br /> Utecht moved that the matter be referred to the Planning Commission, <br /> with the request that they report back to the Council by June 15th <br /> at 7 P. ?~ . DST. <br />Salminen I flew all the way back from California for this meeting and have <br /> to go right back. <br />Coppini I move that the petition for the vacation of Johnson's alley be <br /> referred to the Planning Commission. <br />Pehrson I think this should have been referred to the Planning Commission <br /> before this meeting. <br />Graham It is a matter of the Council referring it to the Planning Commission. <br />Nilsen The Planning Commission will have all the facts now as presented by <br /> the people. <br />~4rs. Salminen Am I correct in assuming that if the Planning Commission sees fit <br />to vacate the alley, the Council will vacate it? <br />Graham The Planning Commission does not take action. They make recommendations. <br /> <br />Salminen Are you agreeable to closing it if the Planning Commission agrees? <br />Utecht I move that this matter be referred to the Planning Commission with <br /> the request that they report to us by June 15th, and that Hearing be <br /> continued until June 15th at 7 P. Anderson, 1775 Albert asked what plans were being made for the <br /> improvement of Albert Street just North of the intersection at <br /> Larpenteur. He said it is low, there is water standing there all <br /> the time, it gets in brake drums, etc. Bonestroo advised Albert is <br /> too low at that spot and has no crown. 1Ve don't have enough tonnage <br /> this year. Running a storm sewer would be too costly. He thinks we can <br /> accentuate the crown to take the water away from Liedholms. On <br /> Simpson, it will be cheaper to move the crown. These are things we <br /> will have to evaluate. Anderson asked if it would be possible to <br /> drain the water into one of the vacant lots. Bonestroo said that <br /> is one of the things we intend to dog along with lowering the catch <br /> basin. <br />Hermes Prop. N. L. Hermes asked about grading the entrance to the alley back of <br /> Lido's so the water drains out of the alley and also to make it <br /> easier for trucks to get in and out.
