149? <br />Repair of Bonestroo stated they plan to use a 6" base of class 5 material <br />Streets disturbed and compact it by mechanical vibration, use a plant mix and <br />by watermain in- blend it in with the rest of the street, and replace driveways. <br />stallation. There will be some sod work. The City is doing a very poor Sob <br />of repairing where they dug trenches. We are not at all satis- <br />fied. <br />Bids street Warkentien moved the adoption of the following resolutions <br />work <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Village Council, <br />the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for <br />the resurfacing of the streets disturbed by the installation of <br />watermains under Watermain Improvement of 1960, No. 1, and has <br />presented his plans and sketches to the Council for approval; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF FALCON <br />HEIGHTS, MINNESOTAs <br />1. Such plans and specifications a copy of which are hereby <br />filed with the Deputy Clerk and made a part hereof, are <br />hereby approved. <br />2. The Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in <br />the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement <br />for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans <br />'and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 10 <br />days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will <br />be opened and considered by the Council at 7:30 P. M., Monday <br />September 1?_th, 1960 in the Council Chambers of the Village Hall, <br />and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with <br />the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, <br />bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for 5% of the <br />amount of such bid. <br />Seconded by Shavor and unanimously carried. <br />Streets Falcon Bonestroo: There must have been a grade change that wasn't on the <br />Woods No. 2 plans. We blue topped it. It is surfaced and the people are happy. <br />We will have to put in 2 or 3" on the peripheral edge of the cul de <br />sac. T feel Attorney Graham should write the people who have that <br />high, steep drivexay. It is too high and the situation will be <br />worsened now that we have graded a gutter. I will get the name and <br />address of the owner and send it to Mr. Graham. <br />Boulevards After discussion, Nilsen moved that the Engineer be instructed to <br />No. Larpenteur proceed with the work necessary to finish up the boulevards on the <br />North side of Larpenteur, West of Snelling, excluding the Spiegler <br />property, which were disturbed by the installation of the Larpenteur <br />Avenue Watermain, at a cost of not more than X300.00. Seconded <br />by Utecht and carried. <br />Office Nilsen moved that the Clerk's Office be authorized to purchase <br />Supplies 1500 verified account forms. Seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />
