1496 This money can be used to build up your street system, The <br />minimum width is 40' sorb to curb, St. Paul has asked us to <br />consider naming Como, a boundary line, as one of our State <br />Aid Streets. That would be about 25/100 of a mile or 1/8 of <br />what we could designate. St. Paul asked that we either name this <br />as one of our State Aid Streets or allow them to annex the <br />other side of Como. State Aid Funds can be used for curb and <br />gutter. Shavor indicated the Council might consider St. Paul's <br />proposal regarding Como but can't make an immediate decision. <br />The matter requires study. <br />Coppini moved the adoption of the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MUNICIPAL STATE A.ID HIGHWAYS <br />11R(HHEREAS, it appears to the Village Council of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights that the streets hereinafter described should <br />be designated as Municipal State Aid Streets under the provisions <br />of Minnesota Laws of 1959, Chapter 500s <br />NC~IfT THEREFORE, BE IT RDSOLVID, by the Village Council of the <br />Village of Falcon Heights that thestreets described as follows, to- <br />wit: <br />1. Arona Avenue from Hoyt Avenue to Roselawn Avenue <br />2. Pascal Avenue from " " n ~ ~+ <br />3. W. Idaho Avenue from Snelling Ave. to Hamline Ave. <br />4. Crawford Avenue from Snelling Ave. to Arona Ave. <br />bey and hereby are established, located and designated Municipal <br />State Aid Streets of said. Village, subject to the approval of <br />the Commissioner of Highways of the State of Minnesota. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk is hereby author- <br />ized and directed to forwrard tx~ro certified copies of this reso- <br />lution to the Commissioner of Highways for his consideration, <br />and that upon approval of the designation of said road or portion <br />thereof, that same be constructed, improved and maintained as <br />Municipal State Aid Streets of the Village of Falcon Heights, to <br />be numbers d and known as Municipal State Aid Streets 101, 102, <br />103 and 104. <br />Seconded by Nilsen. <br />Nilsent This won't!..-tie us up in any way until we spend money? <br />Arad Limberg: No. Nilsen: If we name a certain street as a <br />State Aid Street, can we change our designation?
