Britton were present to represent the <br />Improvement Falcon Heights Congregational Church and request abatement of <br />1960, No. 1. the watermain assessment on Lot 19, Block 1, Barthel Villas <br /> which, at present, is being retained at a low level for pond- <br /> ing, until such time as it is no longer required for ponding <br /> when it will be reassessed. The Council and Attorney Graham <br /> felt their request was reasonable and Warkentien moved that the <br /> matter be referred to Attorney Graham who will prepare the <br /> necessary papers. Seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />License All requirements having been met, T~2ASTER PLU".RBERS LICENSE N0. 60 <br /> was issued to Raymond. E. Jastrow, dba Snelling Plumbing & <br /> Heating Co., 712 Snelling Avenue, No., St. Paul, Minn. P:4oved. <br /> by Nilsen, seconded by Warkentien and carried. <br />Insurance Workmen's Compensation Insurance Policy from VJolfgram Agency, <br /> Inc,, 309 No. Snelling Avenue, was referred to Al Mortenson <br /> who checked same and reported it eras satisfactory. <br />Streets Copy of letter from City of St. Paul, Department of Public <br /> Works, to Bradford A. Lemberg, was read. Letter advised they <br /> were requesting their construction superintendent to gi~.re his <br /> immediate attention to restoring the intersection at Hamline <br /> and Iowa, also at various intersections along Hoyt where res- <br /> toration is necessary as a result of the construction of the <br /> Nebraska-Hoyt Storm Sewer. <br />Culverts Copy of letter of November 17th written to Dean Anklon, Ramsey <br /> County Engineer, by Brad Lemberg was read. Letter advised <br /> that the Village Pulaintenance Crew found that many of the cul- <br /> verts along Garden and. Hamline were crushed, and asked that <br /> <br />- they do something about it at this time to insure proper drain- <br /> age. <br />Street Lighting Letter of November 17th, to Northern States Power Company by <br />Brad Lemberg, was read. Letter requested installation of a <br />street light at the intersection of Holton Rc Ruggles, and <br />recommended that it be located in the public walkway on the <br />West side of Holton opposite Ruggles Avenue. <br />After discussion, Shavor moved that the Village Engineer be <br />authorized to arrange for the installation of arc lights <br />at the corner of A4oore and Summer and also at the corner of <br />Howell and Summer, as well as for the installation of four <br />necessary street signs. Seconded by VTarkentien and carried. <br />Guide Posts Art Lindig asked if it would be permissable for him to install <br />Driveway, Art guide posts on his own property to v~Tarn people of the ditch. <br />Lindig property Bonestroo said he thought that would be fine and would stop <br />to check and make recommendations as to location. <br />Watermain A±.torney Graham advised he had delivered the Assessment to <br />Improvement 1960 <br />No. 1. <br />
