1535 REGULAR ~~~EETING DECEP.4BER 8, 1960. Tdeeting was called to order at 7:10 P. T.Q., the following Council Pdembers being bresent: Harold C. Nilsen, ~:Qayor, Paul Conpini, Trustee; Willis V~`arkentien, Trustee and V1m. R. Utecht, Clerk. Also present were Frank N. Graham, Village Attorney; V'tm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; Otto Bonestroo and Brad Lemberg, Village Engineers and Ethel E. '~P~(hite, Deputy Clerk. Absent: Geo. J. Shavor. "Qosquitos Dr. Herbert Crandall, Asst. Director and Chief Entomologist of the l~~ietronolitan ",iosquito Control District was present. He gave the Village a map showing the mosquito breeding spots in the Village, many of which are located on property be- longing to the University of P~Qinn:,sota. Dr. Crandall advised that. as many of these holes as possible be filled as clean fill becomes available. The Engineer will contact the University as well as make a study to see how many of the low spots in the Village can be filled without interfering with necessary nonding. Canvassing The regular meeting was recessed to permit the Council to act hoard as a Canvassing Board in connection vrith the Canvass of Votes for the election of officers for the Village of .Falcon Heights, at the Annual Village Election, December 6th, 1960, and the Clerk read the following election returns: For the Office of Trustee: George J. Utecht l Robert Dowdell 1 " Rod Chalmers 1 r~ Fred °~i"rtin 1 n For the Office of Justice of Peace: Harvey C. Stougaard 378 Lloyd V. Riley 350 r~ Wm. Shagebert 1 " On motion by V~Iarkentien, seconded by Conpini, it was voted unanimously to declare the following duly elected to office, and that the Clerk be instructed to certify the said election returns to the County Auditor. George J. Shavor was elected Trustee for a term of three years. W. Allen "aortenson ~~~as elected Clerk for a term of two ,years. Harvey C. Stougaard was elected Justice of Peace for a term of two vears. On motion, the Canvassing 3oard l~,:Qeeting ~^ras adjourned at 8 P. i:F.
