15bo ~ .. _ .. . , ,v <br />but individual League Pllembers have that privilege and may post signs <br />in their yards if they wish. <br />Planning After discussion, it was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor <br />Commission and unanimously voted that the following resolution be adopted: <br />Resolution <br />RESOLUTION A",ENDING PLANNING COMPdISSION RESOLUTION: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of Falcon Heights as <br />follows s <br />Section 1. That Section 2 of "Resolution Establishing Planning <br />Commission" passed by the Village Council of Falcon Heights on <br />April 25, 1950 be and it hereby is amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 2. Composition. Such planning commission shall consist <br />of seven voting members,~four to constitute a quorum, appointed <br />by the Mayor with the approval of the council. In additions the <br />village building inspector, the village engineer and one member <br />of the village council, as designated each year by the P1layor, <br />shall be advisory, non-voting members of the commission. <br />The Mayor with the approval of the council, shall appoint four <br />new voting members to the commission, to serve with the three <br />present voting members whose terms expire January 1, 1962; January <br />1, 1963; and January 1, 1964. Two of the new voting members shall <br />be designated to serve for terms ending January 1, 1962; one for a <br />term ending January 1, 1963; and one for a term ending January 1, <br />1964. Thereafter successors of voting members shall be appointed. <br />for terms of three years. <br />The Mayor shall also designate a member of the village council to <br />serve as an advisory non-voting member until January 1, 1962. <br />Both original and successive appointees shall hold their offices <br />until their successors are appointed and have eualified. The <br />terms of the village building inspector and the village engineer <br />shall correspond to their respective tenures. <br />Vacancies during the term shall be filled by the Mayor with the <br />anz~roval of the council for the unexpired portion of the term. <br />Every member shall, before entering upon the discharge of his <br />duties, take an oath that he will faithfully discharge the duties <br />of his office. All Members shall serve without compensation. <br />Voting Members may be removed by a 4~5 vote of the council." <br />Appointments Nilsen moved that the office of street commissioner be vacated; <br />to Planning and that Dr, John C. Hayes, 1532 Crawford, who served as street <br />Commission commissioner, be appointed to the planning commission for a term <br />expiring January 1, 1963. Seconded by Coppini and carried, <br />Nilsen moved that W. L. Hindermann be appointed to the planning <br />commission for a term expiring January 1, 1964. Seconded by <br />ti"darkentien and carried. <br />Nilsen designated Trustee George J. Shavor as the Village Council <br />
