It <br />advised, in part, the University plans to remove the Veterans' <br />Housing over a four-year period for the purpose of building an <br />extension to University Grove. Approximately 13 lots will be used <br />for building purposes in the summer of 1961. Further extensions <br />will occur within the next ~ years and by that time all of the <br />Veterans' Housing will be cleared. <br />They submitted drawing for study. Lemberg the engineer, repof~ted <br />he had me t with Dahlgren, the planning consultant; that some of <br />the lots are less than the minimum of ten thousand square fee t; <br />and the frontage is less than 7S' as required. Dahlgren will con- <br />tact Mr. Close of the University and suggest a review of the plan. <br />There is also a 30' alley or street which would be quite undesirable <br />from a maintenance standpoint. <br />State Aid Clerk I.Rortenson read notice of Annual Apportionment of Municipal- <br />Street Fund State Aid Street Fund for the year 1.961 as follows: Total allotment <br />~19,25l~.00, Maintenance ~63,0ltS.00, construction $16,209.00. After <br />discussion, Pdarkentien moved that the Village Engineer be author- <br />ized to prepare plans and specifications for the improvement of <br />Arona from Larpenteur through the intersection of Crawford in <br />accordance with State Specifications. Seconded by Coppini and <br />carried. <br />Radio Nilsen moved that the Clerk be instructed to write. the Ramsey <br />Service County Sheriff's Office recommending that they permit B k E Patrol <br />AGE Patrol (Dog catching serv?ce) to send and receive calls over the Sheriff's <br />radio hook-up. Seconded by Warkentien and carried. <br />Dog Tags ~ Coppini moved that the Clerk be authorized to order ZSO dog tags <br />for the 1961-62 season. Seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />LAWM/PS Lemberg advised he would furnish slides of the Spiegler Stubs to <br />Attorney Graham. <br />Sh1'dI1960No.1 Lemberg was advised to write Dunkley asking if he would like to pay <br />St. Paul for d~3maged equipment replaced by St. Paul, or if he <br />would prefer to have the Village pay the bill and deduct it from <br />what is being held back. <br />
