K'd and accepted. <br />University Lemberg is going to set up a meeting with r,4r Lund of the <br />Grove University of I!4innesota for the purpose of going over sewer, <br />vrater and allied problems. <br />Larpenteur Bonestroo & Associates have written ~2cCubrey asking that he set <br />Snelling- up a meeting between the Highway Department's Design Chief and <br />Underpass them, but have not heard from t:~eCubrey as yet. Bonestroo will <br /> suggest improvement of the traffic signal system. <br />Strset Bonestroo & Associates were instructed to contact E. J. Pennig <br />Repairs Company for their services on street repairs as required. <br />Playground Lemberg advised they had been studying the playground plan as <br />Snelling ~ requested by Mayor Nilsen, and figure they can relocate hydrants, <br />Idaho lay ~oituminous surfacing, install cul de sac, and new bituminous <br /> curb around cul de sac, grade a drainage s~~ale, lay out t;~1e small <br /> children's play area, put up 200' of chain link fence across the <br /> parking area and part way around the tot's area, rind grade park- <br /> ing area for about '~2,b00,U0. It, vras suggested that he study <br /> the plan in connection with the agreement with the Highway <br /> Department. <br />Lighting There was a ge~~:e~ral discussion regarding the lighting of the <br />Business business district, and Coppini will contact George Williams of <br />District The Falcon "~~ig;hts Hardware. <br />Police ti~Jarkentien reported Officer Jerome Johnson had submitted his <br />resignation, in writing, effective ~Iay 1st, 1961, but later asked <br />that the letter of resignation be returned to him. This was done. <br />Civil ~irarkentien advised he had talked to Karl Klohn about the possibility <br />Defense of his taking over our Civil Defense Program. Klohn asked for <br />time to consider the matter and will advise his decision before <br />the next council meeting. <br />Audit 114ortenson moved that the Village accept Haskins & Sells offer to <br />make the examination of the Village books between April 15th and <br />May 15th, at a maximum billing of ~1,35U.00.
