~9 <br />Trustee Shavor seconded the motion for the adoption of <br />said resolution and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Shavor, Warkentien, Nilsen and <br />Mortenson and the following voted. against the same: None. <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />Curbing, Nilsen moved that the curb that was placed on the West side of <br />Pascal. °ascal as part of the watermain 1960 #1 Improvement, between <br />Ruggles and Hoselawn be removed in order to restore it to <br />the "As was" condition. Seconded by Shavor ar.d carried. <br />Traffic, 'JTaple Warkentien -reported he had received complaints from residents <br />Kno11: on P~Qaple Ynoll Drive that as many as h0 cars an hour were <br />using .4aple Knol1_ Drive to by-pass the traffic lights. <br />Lemberg will check the three-day record on the Traffic Counter <br />and report to the Council at the next meeting when the Council <br />will attempt to work out a solution to the problem. <br />Snelling-Idaho After discussion, Mayor Nilsen moved the adoption of the follov~ring <br />H.ec. Area: resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Villac~•e Council deems it necessary and expedient <br />that the Village of Falcon Heigh.t.s improve the Snelling-Idaho <br />playgrour_d by putting in fencing, black-topping, excavation, and <br />embanlanent in accordance with preliminary plans and specifications <br />prepared by Bonestroo-P~osene and Associates, Inc., Village Engineers, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has been advised by said engineers that the <br />proposed improvements are feasible and should best be made as pro- <br />posed, end their report to this effect has heretofore been re- <br />ceived by the Council, <br />P10~i'J, '"HEF,EFORE, ~3E IT R.F,SOLVED by the Village Council of the <br />Village of Halton Heights, i+;Sinnesota: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are made a <br />part hereof, are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in <br />the office of the Village Clerk. <br />2. `T'he Villa~-e Clerk shall prepa ~e and cause to .-~e inserted in <br />the official newspaper, an advertisement for bids upon the making <br />of such improvement in accordance with the arproved plans and <br />specifications. The advertisement shall specify the work to be done, <br />shall state that the bids v~rill be publicly opened at g:OJ P. Ir'I. , <br />June 2?..nd, 1961, in the Village Hall, and shall state that no bids <br />will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and <br />accompanied by a cash deposit, cashiers check, bid 'pond or certified <br />check payable to the Clerk for 5~ of the amount of such bid. <br />Hermes Alley, Engineer Lemberg said he had met with Hermes who wants to <br />Parking lot, blacktop his whole alley, parking lot and the;.-:entry, etc. -- it <br />etc. is going to take some field work and Hermes feels the Village is <br />going to pay for it. Lemberg was advised the Village cannot pay <br />
