~a <br />St. Paul, Minnesota, in the name of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights for the improvement of the Idaho--SneLling Playground <br />according to the plans and specifications therefor approved <br />by the Village Council and on file in the office of the <br />Village Clerk. <br />2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their <br />bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and <br />the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has <br />been signed. <br />Adopted by the Village Council this 22nd day of June, 1961. <br />Snell-Idaho Lemberg reported he had tal ked to Thorstenson of the State <br />Playground Highway Department who will recheck excavation plans and 0. K. <br />the cost which will amount to about X562.00. <br />Arona St. WHEREAS the following have submitted sealed bids on the Arona <br />Avenue Improvement in accordance with the advertisement for bidsa <br />Ashbaeh Construction Co., accompanied by a bid bond for ~ of bid, <br />~2It,960.80 net. <br />C. S. McCrossen, Inc., accompanied by a bid bond for 5~ of bid, <br />ffi21,02It.80 net. <br />Dunkley Surfacing, Inc., accompanied by a bid bond for 5~ of bid, <br />!622,067.15 net. <br />armor Coat Finishing Co., Inc., accompanied by bid bond of 5~ of bid, <br />ffi21,b79.91 net. <br />AND WHEREAS the bids have been properly opened and read aloud and <br />considered by the Council, and <br />WHEREAS the Council deems it advisable to defer final action on <br />said bids until the council and the engineer have had an opportun- <br />ity to review financing of the Arona Avenue Improvement Project <br />NOW' THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council that the <br />Village Council, Engineer and Attorney will review the bids and <br />financing and a special meeting will be set fori~lednesday June 28, <br />at 7s30 P. M. <br />The above resolution was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor and <br />unanimously carried. <br />Watermain It was moved by ~Tarkentien, seconded by Shavor and unanin~usly <br />1.960 No.l. voted that the work done by Rivard Excatating Compat~ycand Dunkley <br />Surfacing Company be accepted and the bills be paid ih..the amount <br />of $1592.95 for Rivard and 3316h.t~9 for Dunkley. <br />Police Warkentien moved that Dewey A. Smiths salary be increased X10.00 <br />Salaries a month retroactive to June 15th, and that he is to be instructed <br />
