Co <br />~.3 <br />1 <br />u <br />SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 28, 1961. <br />Meeting was called to order at 7s30 P. M., the following Council Members being <br />presents Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George 5havor, Trustee; Willis Warkentien, <br />Trustee; Paul Coppini, Trustee and W. A, Mortenson, Clerk. Also present were <br />David P. Cartwright, Chairman Planning Commission; M. Galvin, Attorney; Brad <br />Lemberg, Engineer; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. <br />Planning Dave Cartwright reported that the Planning Commission had gone <br />Ordinance through taro or three drafts of the zoning ordinance and are <br />satisfied with it. It has nrnr been referred to the Council <br />for checking and approval and also to the Attorney for checking <br />from a legal standpoint. The Planning Board will hold two <br />hearings. One for Public Information and the Second will be <br />the Official Hearing and they will then come out with the final <br />draft. <br />Sign, Krause Request for permit for the installation of a sign was received <br />Bakery ~ and the Deputy Clerk instructed to ask George Croft, Building <br />Inspector, if the sign will extend into the 30' front yar~t, the <br />clearance specified in the ordinance. <br />Platting, There was a discussion regarding Art Lindig's proposed plat, <br />Lindig and the Douncil decided there is nothing more they can do until <br />property Lindig works out his problem. <br />Arona St. After discussion, and upon recommendation of the engineer, the <br />MSA 62-101- following resolution was moved by Warkentien, seconded by <br />O1 Coppini and carrieds <br />WHEREAS, the Pillage Council of Falcon Heights-has adopted <br />a resolution at it's meeting of June 22nd, 1961 that it was <br />advisable, expedient and necessary that Arona Avenue be improved <br />from Larpenteur to Crawford, and <br />WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bid was in excess of the fund$ <br />available, and <br />WHEREAS, the Pillage Council of Falcon Heights still deems it <br />necessary, advisable and expedient to continue with the Arona <br />Avenue Improvement Pro3ect <br />NCB THEREFORE EE IT RESOLVEDs <br />That the Pillage Engineer is hereby authorized to execute a <br />Change Order isi that agreement entitled "'Proposal for Street <br />Construction MSAP 62-101-01 Falcon Heights" by eliminating the <br />following items <br /> <br />Bituminous surface, seal coat and appurtenances <br />And changing the concrete curb and gutter from B 6-2l~ to B 6-18. <br />Said change order is to reduce the total bid of the lowest <br />responsible bidder a minimum amount of three-thousand dollars. <br />
