Due to the <br /> large number of people in attendance, they decided . to make <br /> their statement by letter, copy of which eras sent to Village <br /> Officials. <br />He also advised that they had filed copies of the Oaths of <br />Office and 3onds for the Justice of Peace, Clerk and Treasurer. <br />He had received an overture from the people carrying the bonds <br />for Herbst Construction Company; is getting the figures together <br />and thinks he may be able to dispose of that soon. <br />F~ngineering: Improvement of Crawford from Arona to Simpson, and far enough <br />up Simpson, to correct drainage. Lemberg recommended installa- <br />tion of curb and gutter. They plan t,o excavate R" below pro- <br />posed grade line surface, crush exisiing._matfor~use:'.as:.new <br />base, place Class 5 gravel base below surface material which <br />isa 6!' as recommended. On ton of that, a 2" bituminous surface, <br />a~~ ~~mix, reshape boulevards to conform vrith lawns, place 2tt <br />t~ of black dirt and resod with cultured sod. They fi~-ured a <br />-~ curb and gutter. This should give a good 5-7 ton street. <br />r, ~~~ <br />Approximate cost ,~7l~88.25 total. Of tha+, total cost, ti~l, 760.00 <br />represents curb and gutter which should be assessed, leaving a <br />balance of `502.8.25 to be paid by the TJillage. The cost of <br />curb and gu+.ter to be assessed is estimated at .2.75 a foot. <br />Simpson is breaking up for about 200'. It will take about <br />1/3 of our maintenance funds, but it is a step in the right <br />direction. <br />
