1738 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 11~ 1962. <br />Meeting was called to order at 7s00 P. M., the following Members of the Council <br />being presents Willis Warkentien, Acting Aitayor; W. A. Mortenson, Clerk; C. P. <br />Stone, Trustee. Also present w:~re M. J. Galvin, Village Attorney; Wm. E. Olsen, <br />Treasurer; Brad Lemberg, Engineer; and Ethel E. White Deputy Clerk and Deputy <br />Treasurer. Absents George Shavor, Trustee. Pdayor Nilsen arrived at 8s05 as <br />previously arranged. <br />It was moved by Stone, seconded by Warkentien and voted that the Minutes of <br />March 21st be approved as submitted. <br />Licenses All requirements having been met, it was moved by Warkentien, <br />seconded by Stone and voted to issue Master Plumbers License #78 <br />to Geo. B. Waterman, 1l~91 No. Hamline Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota. <br />Bus Service: Notice from the Railroad and'~rarehouse Commission advising that <br />the Hearings on the Curtailment of Bus Service have been post- <br />poned indefinitely was read and filed, <br />Unemployed Governor Andersen's letter of March 16th, advising that he was <br />Youth: calling a Statewide Conference on Youth Employment and Training <br /> for Ahonday and Tuesday, April 23rd and 2l~th, at the Leamington <br /> Hotel in Minneapolis, was read. A member of the council will <br /> attend if possible. <br />Barthel Letter of April 3rd from D-~uglas, Sheets and ~3e11, regarding lots <br />Villas: 13, 11t, 20 and 21, Block 1, Barthel Villas, was read. The Deputy <br /> Clerk was instructed to advise them that the situation has not <br /> changed. If they wish to present their case to the Council, they <br /> may call the Deputy Clerk for a Hearing any Council Meeting Night <br /> at 8s30. Regular Council Meetings are held'the 2nd and ltth Wed- <br /> nesdays of each month. <br />Fire It was moved by Stone, seconded by Warkentien and voted that the <br />Schools Village authorize Don Schoen, Stan Schultz, and A1. Helbig to <br />enroll at the Fire School April 23rd to 26th, the Deputy Clerk <br />to send a check for their registration fees to the University of <br />Minnesota. <br />Boy Scouts: Letter of appreciation from L. Edson Tribble, District Executive <br />of the Indianhead Council 295 Boy Scouts of America for the use <br />of the Village Hall, Adarch 30th, was read and filed. <br />Office It was moved by Warkentien, seconded by Stone and voted to approve <br />Supplies: ordering 3 thousand #10 Mailing Envelopes, Sub. 21~, white wove <br />density, at X9.63 per thousand, from Northern States Envelope Co. <br />League of Letter from the League of Minnesota Municipalities regarding the <br />il2inn. Mun.: Clarence C. Ludwig Memorial Fund was read, members of the Council <br />to do as they see fit. <br />Safety The 1961 Traffic Safety report was referred to Police Commissioner, <br />Reports Don Arndt.. <br />
