1'~l~6 <br />Ordinance 61t Galvin explained that the proper procedure is to refer all <br />requests for Hermits to the building inspector who is also the <br />zoning administrator. He shall determine that all building <br />permits comply with the terms of this ordinance, refer to <br />the council all applications for building permits in R3 and <br />" ~' along with plot plans, building plans and specifications <br />found to be in proper form as required. He shall also receive, <br />file and forward all applications for appeals, variances, <br />conditional uses or other matters to the Planning Commission <br />for their recommendation to the Council for final action. <br />Investments It was moved by Shavor, seconded by Warkentien and voted to <br />approve the following resolutions <br />BE TT RESOLVED that the ?~4ayor and. the Village Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to purchase with funds in the Larpen- <br />teur Avenue Watermain & Pumping Station Improvement Fund up <br />to four thousand dollars worth of U. S. Treasury Bonds due <br />August 15, 1963, and to deliver all of said bonds, after pur- <br />chase, to the First National Rank of St. Paul to be held by <br />them in trust for the respective sinking fund accounts. <br />Watermain After discussion, it was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor, <br />and voted to adopt the following resolutions <br />WHEREI~S, there will be increased demands for water services in <br />the Larpenteur-Cleveland area in the Village of Falcon Heights, and <br />WHEREAS, it will be necessary to make an additional connection <br />with the City of St. Paul Water System, <br />NC~`T THEREFORE let it be resolved that the Village Attorney is <br />hereby directed and requested to examine and investigate financ- <br />ing and assessing the watermain connection with the City of <br />St. Paul at or near Cleveland and Dudley Streets and Cleveland <br />and Larpenteur in the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Streets Lemberg reported that '~cPhillips will start sweeping the streets <br />Tuesday morning. The traffic on Garden averages 775 cars in a 2!~ <br />hour period. It was moved by Shavor, seconded by Warkentien and <br />voted that the Engineer be authorized to order a hose for the <br />traffic counter. Lemberg showed and explained the traffic pattern <br />he is working out for the Snelling-Larpenteur area. <br />Office It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor and voted that the <br />Supplies Deputy Clerk be authorized to purchase two #96888, 11x1? canvas <br />covered post binders at approximately ~Is.50 each. <br />Adjournment On motion, the meeting adjourned a 9;30 _ <br />Signed C~ lR. i~$ p~~--,- <br />der . <br />Approved <br />Mayor <br />
