1784 <br />REGULAR r~iEET IldG JULY 2 5 , 1962 . <br />Meeting was called to order at 7 P. M., the following Members of the Council <br />being presents Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; W. A. Mortenson, Clerk; Charles <br />P. Stone, Trustee; George J. Shavor, Trustee. Also present were M. J. <br />Galvin, Village Attorney; B. Lemberg, Village Engineer; Wm. E. Olsen, <br />Treasurer; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent, <br />Willis Warkentien, Trustee. <br />On motion by Stone, seconded by Shavor, the Minutes of June 27th were <br />approved as submitted. <br />On motion by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor, the Minutes of July 12th were <br />approved as submitted. <br />On motion by Stone, seconded by Mortenson, the Minutes of July 18th were <br />approved as submitted. <br />Car Washs Mortenson moved the continuance of the contract with <br />State Fair Car Wash at X65.00 per annum for as many washes <br />for the police car as desired, the year to run from April <br />1st, 1962 to April 1, 1963. <br />Sign, F. H. Stone moved that the application fora permit for the sign <br />State Bank: at Falcon Heights State Bank be referred to the Planning <br />Commission inasmuch as it seems to involve a variance <br />from Ordinance 64, 16.4.(3). Seconded by Shavor and <br />carried. <br />Building Mr. R. K. Magnuson, 1810 No. Holton, Mi. 6-0696, was in to <br />Inspectors discuss the appointment as Building Inspector. His exper- <br />ience qualifies him for the work, and it was decided that <br />a representative of Bonestroo, Rosene & Associates, Village <br />Engineers, could inspect his work in the Vi11aFe to avoid <br />conflict of interest. Magnuson took copies of the building <br />coda and zonirg cx•~3.inance for e 1,~~.dy anc ~^ri". ~~n-~~~ar at tYie <br />c>Y+, meeting, A,u~~~ti:±: lsj , at which time a decision will be <br />made. <br />Curb and WHEREAS a Resolution the Village Council adopted the 18th of <br />Gutter, Iowa July fixed a date for a Council hearing on the improvement <br />Ave. of Iona Avenue between the West line of the Snelling-Idaho <br />Ponding-Recreation Area and the East line of Hamline Avenue <br />by construction of curbs and gutters, and <br />WHEREd~S publication is now being made and a public hearing <br />will be held August 1st at which all persons who wish to <br />be heard will be heard at such meeting <br />NOPt THEREFORE, BE IT P_ESOLVED that Bonestroo, Rosene & <br />Associates are,::autho~zed to prepare plans and specifications <br />for said proposed improvement. <br />Adopted by the Council the 25th day of July, 1962, on motion <br />by Stone, seconded by Nilsen and carried. <br />
