<br />1~EGULAR MEETING AUGUST 7, 1962.
<br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P. M., the following members of the Council
<br />being present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; W. A. Mortenson, Clerk; C. P. Stone,
<br />Trustee; George Shavor, Trustee. Also present were Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer;
<br />,Brad Lemberg, Engineer; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer.
<br />Absent: Willis Warkentien, Trustee.
<br />On motion by Shavor, seconded by Stone, it was voted to approve the Minutes of
<br />the Regular Meeting of July 25th as submitted.
<br />Licensees It was moved by Mortenson, seconded by Shavor and voted to
<br />accept application for On-Sale Beer Licenses for the State
<br />Fair Grounds as follows:

<br />Signs Letter of. July 31, from George W. Plant, Chairman, Planning
<br />Commission, was read, in part, as follows:
<br />"It is the unanimous recoimnendation of the It members of the
<br />Planning Commission who were present that the variance not
<br />be granted."
<br />Shavor moved that the application for permit by Lawrence, Inc.,
<br />for sign for the Falcon Heights Bank be denied,. and that the
<br />applicant be informed that on any future applications, we
<br />must have the signature of the owner to confirm this is the
<br />type of sign he desires. Seconded by Stone and carried.
<br />Sewer Conns It was moved by Mortenson, seconded by Nilsen arid. voted that
<br />the Village of Falcon Heights request the Commissioner of
<br />Public Works to permit Rose Plumbing Company to make a
<br />connection to the St. Paul sewer for the Central Shop Building,
<br />Minnesota Highway Department, 11179 No. Snelling Avenue, all
<br />expenses incurred to be paid by Rose Plumbing.
