Any vehicle parked in violation of Section <br />I of this ordinance, is declared to be a nuisance <br />which interferes with snovr removal from public <br />streets, and likely to create hazardous road con- <br />ditions impeding or likely to impede the free <br />movement of fire, health, police, emergency or <br />other vehicular traffic or otherwise endan ger the <br />safety and welfare of the community. Any police <br />officer may remove or cause to be removed, sum- <br />marily, any such vehicle, by menas of towing or <br />otherv~rise, or said police officer may require the <br />driver or owner to remove said vehicle off the <br />~aved, improved, or traveled nort,ion of said street. <br />1 <br />1 <br />3. Any employee of the County Highway Depart- <br />ment engaged in snovr removal may, when he finds it <br />necessary, ir, order to facilitate snow removal from <br />tY~e streets, move any vehicle, to the extent nec- <br />essary, which is narked or, any street or reauire <br />the driver or owner to remove said vehicle off the <br />Waved, improved or traveled portion of said street. <br />1. As soon as practical after the removal of <br />said vehicle parked in violation of the provisions <br />of this ordinance by officers or agents of the <br />Village, the police commissioner shall notify in <br />writing the tiersons to be shown to be the owner of <br />such vehicles by the registra±ion thereof of the <br />following facts; <br />a. A C'eneral description of the vehicle <br />together with a license number. <br />b. The approximate time and reason for <br />removal and the place to which removed. <br />c. The charge for such removal which shall <br />not .exceed the sum of X9.00 for toying plus the <br />daily cost of storage. Said notice shall be <br />addressed to the registered ovstner and shall be <br />dep..osited with Hostage prepaid in ±,he United <br />4tates '~a.ils at palcon Heights, ?;~innesota, as <br />Boor: as practical after the re•~oval of said <br />vehicle. Before said vehicle shall be reclaimed, <br />the ov~rner or other claimant shall satisfactorily <br />identify 1'ii mself, establish his right, title or <br />interest to said vehicle and the rinht, of possession <br />thereof and shall further pay all costs or charges <br />in connection vlith the removal and storage of <br />such vehicle and notice therefor. <br />
