.MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING ` <br />JANUARY 22, 1986 <br />PAGE 4 <br />REQUEST FROM LEAGUE OF CITIES FOR AN ADDITIONAL 10$ FOR AMICUS PROGRAM DENIED <br />Hard commented on the fact that for two years a fee increase has been voted <br />down by the League Membership and he felt that Funding the Amicus program by <br />charging an additional 10K of regular League dues was a method by which they <br />could obtain an increase without a membership vote. Council concurred that any <br />increase should require a membership vote. Following the discussion Baldwin <br />moved, seconded by Hard, that the League request be denied, and the League be <br />informed that Council views the Amicus program as worthwhile, but should be <br />included in the budget, and deserves a general dues increase for support. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />BONESTR00 REQUEST FOR PAYMENT OF $228.13 FOR CRAWFORD/LARPENTEUR ALLEY <br />INSPECTION DENIED <br />Ciernia questioned the payment of $228.13 to Bonestroo and Associates for <br />inspection of the Crawford/Larpenteur alley when proper inspections obviously <br />were not done resulting in drainage problems.
