MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 28, 1986 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />at 7:00 p.m. by Baldwin. <br />PRESENT <br />All members present: Baldwin, Chenoweth, Wallin, Hard, and Ciernia. Also <br />present were Barnes, Sehunicht and Schroeder. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Ciernia moved, seconded by Wallin, approval of the Consent Agenda. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES OF MAY 14, 1986 APPROVED <br />Hard moved, seconded by Ciernia, approval of the Minutes of May 14, 1986. <br />Motion oarried unanimously. <br />GROVE PARK AGREEMENT TO BE AMENDED <br />Ciernia requested that Council review the present agreement between the <br />University of Minnesota and Falcon Heights relating to the use of the <br />Grove Park land , make comments, and authorize Barnes to negotiate an <br />amended agreement with the Univerity. Ciernia moved, seconded by Wallin, <br />that Barnes be authorized to negotiate with the University and prepare an <br />amended agreement for Council approval. Motion carried unanimously. <br />RIDEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 9, 1986, <br />Council briefly discussed a date for a workshop relating to possible <br />development on the Southeast corner of Larpenteur/Snelling, after which <br />the workshop was scheduled for June 9, 1986 at 7:00 P.M. <br />"NO TRUCK PARKING" SIGNS TO BE REMOVED FROM ARONA, LARPENTEUR TO CRAWFORD <br />Barnes explained the signs presently posted were placed there to prevent <br />large trucks from parking on the street while patronizing the Flameburger, <br />and are no longer necessary. Hard moved, seconded by Wallin, removal of <br />the signs. Motion carried unanimously. <br />WATERTOWER TO BE CONSTRUCTED ON FAIRGROUNDS NECESSITATING INSTALLATION OF <br />WATERMAIN IN NORTHOME AREA <br />Barnes informed that St. Paul Water Utility will be constructing a water <br />tower on the Fairgrounds in 1987 and it will be necessary for the City to <br />install an eight inch waterline to increase water pressure to the Northome <br />area. Council will be kept apprised of the situation. <br />7:15 - PUBLIC HEARING ON BULLSEYE GOLF CONDITIONAL USE REQUEST <br />At 7:15 P.M. Baldwin opened the Public Hearing on a request from Bullseye <br />Golf For a permanent conditional use for Golf-O-Mat machines, presented <br />the Affidavit of Publication, and suggested some method other than <br />conditional use be considered. Schroeder explained a conditional use runs <br />with the land and in view of the fact that Council wishes to review the <br />operation yearly (due to possible parking shortage) it might be proper to <br />control the matter by some other method such as licensing.
