REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 28, 1986 <br />PAGE 3 <br />Sehunieht explained the "no-build" area has been reduced by the <br />installation of storm drainage in other areas, however, should <br />construction be allowed on lots further north a pond will be necessary to <br />comply with requirements stipulated by the City of St. Paul. Council <br />directed Schunicht to determine the size of the "no build" area based on <br />present storm drainage. <br />PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED ON PROPOSED HOME OCCUPATION CODE AMENDMENT <br />Schroeder reviewed a proposed home occupation ordinance, explained it <br />consolidates requirements in the existing code and clarifying some areas. <br />Chenoweth moved, seconded by Hard, a public hearing be scheduled for June <br />25, 1986 at 7:05 P.M. and publication be authorized. <br />PURCHASE OF NEW TRACTOR FOR PUBLIC WORKS APPROVID <br />Barnes presented quotes on a new tractor for public works, after which <br />Michael Mika, Custom Products and Services, gave information on the <br />Ransome Bob Cat and John Deere tractors. Following a brief discussion <br />Baldwin moved, seconded by Wallin, authorization to purchase a 1986 <br />Ransome Bob Cat at a cost of $8,075.00. Motion carried unanimously. <br />LES MILNER, REQUEST TO SUBDIVIDE LOT SOUTH OF 1870 W. ROSELAWN <br />Les Milner, owner of property at 1870 W. Roselawn and lot to the south of <br />that property, explained that he has been transferred out of state and has <br />an offer to purchase the lot south of 1870 Roselawn (owner of property at <br />1900 Tatum, James Keilsmeier, wants the land as an extension to his rear <br />yard). Mr. Milner presented a request to subdivide the lot from the <br />Roselawn property, after which Council referred to request to the Planning <br />Commission. <br />PURCHASE OF SOUND SYSTEM FOR COUNCII. CHAMBERS APPROVED <br />Secretary Chenoweth presented quotes on upgrading the sound system which <br />has been deemed necessary before Council meetings may be televised. <br />Following a short discussion, Chenoweth moved, seoonded by Wallin, <br />purchase of system ~1 from Pro-Com (with deletion of the cassette tape <br />recorder) the total cost not to exceed $1,800.00, such amount to be paid <br />from the Contingency Fund. Motion carried unanimously. <br />UPDATE ON TATUM STREET DRIVEWAY PROBLEMS <br />Schunieht explained the contractor did not install some of the driveways <br />on Tatum according to plans and any errors will be corrected at no cost to <br />the City. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Ciernia moved, seconded by Chenoweth, ad3ournment at g:19 P.
