MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 13, 1987 <br />Baldwin opened the meeting at 7:00 P.M. <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Baldwin, Chenoweth, Wallin, Hard, and Ciernia. Also present were Maurer <br />and Van de North. <br />ADDENDA TO AGENDAS <br />Hard moved, seconded by Wallin, addition of the following items to the <br />Agenda: (1) 6.(1) Consider Resolution Awarding the Bid for 1987 <br />Sealcoating, and (2) 6.(m) Consider Resolution Awarding the Bid for Arona <br />Ave. Watermain, and addition of Item 10 to the Consent Agenda, Request <br />from Al Rolek that he be Allowed to Obtain a Notary Seal at a cost of <br />Approximately $75.00. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Hard moved, seconded by Wallin, approval of the Consent Agenda. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES OF APRIL 22, 1987 APPROVED <br />Hard moved, seconded by Wallin, approval of the Minutes of April 22, 1987 <br />as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF APRIL 25, 1987 APPROVED <br />Hard moved, seconded by Wallin, approval of the Minutes of April 25, <br />1987. Motion carried unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF VARIANCE REQUEST FROM FRANCIS CROWLEY, 1769 N. SNELLING <br />Hard moved, seconded by Wallin, granting a variance (unanimously <br />recommended by Planning Commission on April 4th) to Francis Crowley, 1769 <br />N. Snelling, to construct a circle drive with two exits on the Snelling <br />Avenue service road. Motion carried unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF VARIANCE REQUEST FROM GERALD MC NABB, 1369 W. IDAHO <br />Chenoweth moved, seconded by Hard, granting a variance to Gerald McNabb, <br />1369 W. Idaho, to construct a double garage approximately two feet from <br />the lot line as recommended by the Planning Commission on April 4, 1987. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS <br />Chenoweth moved, seconded by Hard, approval of following Fire Department <br />officers as elected by the Department on May 5, 1987: Chief, Leo Lindig, <br />and Assistant Chiefs Craig Schauffert and John Holmgren. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />PURCHASE OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT FOR COMMUNITY PARK APPROVED <br />31 <br />Ciernia presented a memorandum from Recreation Director Pat Bush <br />explaining the Park and Recreation Commission is requesting removal of <br />
